If it keeps blowing them, then there is definitely something going on. How long do they last?

Sweet, thanks, I'll try Backline on my day off. I've been having alot of problems with this lousy amp, I need the fuses just to find out if its even ok, or if theres a bigger issue. If its fine I'm just going to sell it (if its not fine I'm probably going to throw it away )

Its a fuse for my Hot Rod Deville. The last time I needed them, I went to L&M, the clek there said they didn't stock them and recommended a store on Main St, where he said he gets his. I went to the store with the old fuse, and told the clerk there I needed more like it (he even asked what the fuse was for, and I said a guitar amp) but the ones he gave me seemed to burn out really fast, sometimes more than one a session. I put up a thread and people said it was probably the wrong type of fuse and that I needed a "Slo Blo" fuse.

I guess I'll try Home Depot and Canadian Tire first, theres a pair side by side on Cambie St. I hope the Slo Blo kind is common and clearly marked, otherwise I have no idea if the clerk knows what he's doing haha

Hey, weird question, when you need fuses for your amps, where do you get them from?

Thanks man! I really figured I wouldn't go with a Trad and you and JC have confirmed what I was already thinking. I just wanted more of an expert opinion so I truly thank you for sharing your thoughts.

Maybe one day I'll be up your way.

    Thanks man,
    Allen

Hey man, just a question regarding Standards & Traditionals. Would you prefer an older Standard or one of the new Traditionals? I've played a few Traditionals at GC and have only played my '89 Standard. Just wondering what your opinion would be. I am asking you, JC and Boles as Senior Members and as long time Gibson LP players.

I'm trying to talk my wife into letting me get another guitar and I need one for my KISS band. Going for either an Ebony or a Tobacco Sunburst (preferably the TS but depends on cost of course). Just trying to get your take on what you would prefer.

I thought it best to send this directly to you rather than using the group as a sounding board (to help keep unnecessary traffic down and keep people focused on the group itself; about Ace.

    Thanks!
    Allen

You go right ahead and hang on to it, then.

But you do have a knack for getting good sounds out of these things. I'll hopefully survive school and come back for a good, long musical visit. With some singing, maybe!

Well that's great! I really wondered what you'd think - but I had a hunch you might kinda like it. I would love to hear you play through it - maybe someday not too far off. If it works for you, just hang on to it. If you get sick of it, maybe Ben would like to try it out.

How am I doing? I'm absolutely dying. Level 3 is incredibly hard, maybe the hardest thing I've ever taken on. It'll be great, if I survive it ... but right now, that's a pretty big "if". I'll keep you posted. One thing is for certain, with the pile of work I need to get through, I should not be doing this ... ! ... so, seeya later!
