Yeah man... Go look at their MySpace on my bands top friends. His recordings (the band Gogamesh) are AMAZING. We thought we were getting that kind of work. We were wrong.
We could of went to St.Louis' best studio and paid by the hour, spent less and got better recordings. Like I said, you live and you learn!!!
Yeah, we wrote and recorded those songs ways early on. Literally the first and second songs that we wrote. We recorded with Nick Rohlman @ Blinded Black Studios, and honestly I don't think we got our monies worth. He charged us $250 a song, and our recordings were not near as good as the recording he has on our website, at all.
For brown you want the special faded. You may want to check out G-400's. Not sure what you are looking for though. If you go to a GC to try out SG's give the G-400 a try, faded brown. 300 dollars, but I think you will like them . But if you are looking to spend about 700 or more get the Gibson.
Good luck man, it's hard to find these nowadays. I hope you are looking for the Ebony, otherwise it will be harder and you will be looking to spend at least a 100 extra. Check this site every day Ishibashi Music Store Used Musical InstU-BOX
Search for epiphones, and look for something like SG-70 or JPN or Japan or JDM. That means it's MIJ. Also look for elitists, those are a lot rarer because those were shipped to america, but the JDM weren't.
600. So you would be looking at specials, faded specials, or standards. I would go with the standard just because they look cooler IMO. I really dislike dot inlays though.
Similar quality, but it's just the plain jane version. With SG's you need to make two choices, '61 or '66 pickgaurd, and humbuckers or p90s. Make those choices first then choose the model you want.
