Underlined below is a question I asked in a post:

Hello All

On a whim, I have bought a new LP. It is an 05 studio, stripped of all attached bits (no bridge, no tuners, no pups or electrica) and accordingly it is best described as a plank of wood with potential.

I love my other LP which is quite heavy. I would like to get this one fitted with good pups, and good hardware. Who on this forum has a suggestion:

- as to where I should get new hardware to fit an existing LP. Are there variations in stop bars, for example, I shld be aware of?

- any tips or tricks for the uninitiated (for example: carved top knobs do not fit on the LP studio! I found that out at my expense); and

- importantly, why you choose to shop for LP hardware, wherever it is you do.

Any particular guidance, from those who have done something similar would also be appreciated. Like others, I have followed the ambitious fellow who made an LP Custom from scratch; like most, I just do not have those kind of skills.
