Fair enough. Well Damn. I need someone to talk sense into me on this.

I think that person is the wife though...ahahaha

I've played some Epi black beauties, and the pickup did not get in my way at all. I don't pick very deeply and I often pick over the neck pickup anyway. I hadn't considered a P90 in there.

I tried some guitar with P-90's a few months back when I bought my SG and it turned out I didn't hate them like I thought I would.

I know, if I do this, I'll definitely put the 6 way switch in there too though. This will ALL be professionally done...if it happens.

I can't tell you that's nuts, or I'd be nuts!

I'm sure you could, but I don't think the chambering goes under there, so there'd still be a lot of routing. But if you do it, I'd highly recommend a Humbucker-sized P-90 like a Phat Cat to make the tonal variation wider and more pleasing.

I don't like middle pickups on Les Pauls because that's where I pick, and I pick deep, so they get in the way. Have you played one?

I have three, actually. The one on my Epi Junior (B5) was put on by a highly qualified tech. The two B7s are Vibramate "cheats".

I put them on for appearances, truth be told. I freely admit that and no regrets. I'm learning how to use them, but basically they just make me want to pick those guitars up and play them. Srsly.

They fit in a standard case just fine. It's tight, but I think that's a good thing, to keep the guitar from gaining any momentum inside in case of a drop.

Shit, I forgot my previously best/No. 1, my '92 Standard (one of the gifts). So it's 13.

So, these two are the only that are nearly identical, but that's a Phat Cat P-90 in the neck of the '92.

I agree with three, and for me they'd be the Standard, the GB10, and the Tele.

You made me count. 12, it turns out, including one acoustic. Most very different from the others. I like to have them lying around, play 'em, and work on them. I've got a Mini Strat for visiting kids, and I loan some of them out on occasion to starving musicians whose guitar is in the shop. Two were gifts, one belonged to a deceased friend. The GB10 was an unbelievable find for which I was not looking, and is by far the best and most useful of the bunch.

The wife and I did our Honeymoon there. I'll never go to Cancun. It's just too damned American! Why go to America South?

We got a stupid awesome deal for Playa this time...$1500 All Inclusive/Airfare included from St. Louis.

The first time we were there, we didn't know there was an American side to Playa till after we'd been there for like 4 days...Just walking around talking in Mexican to all the folks. (That's the Mexican dialect...which confuses the locals when a white dude speaks it to them.)
