Yeah I would go with the best 10% CTS500K pots for classic rock & blues. They are built to 550K specs and have a smooth custom taper, much better than the stock pots. Those 10% CTS pots will give you a lot more clarity and for P-90's a I think a pair of .022 Oil filled caps would work out nice for you.
