We are leaving for Chattanooga tomorrow. They keep saying that the storm is heading straight for my parish. I cleaned my yard and boarded up my windows today. I'm beat!!!!

Never been to Thibodeaux much, though for work a long time ago I had to make a few trips to Galiano ... beautiful country down that way, mais ya! I hope you don't get wet when Gustav hits. If it looks like Gustav is coming your way, will you evacuate, or hold on? (Fingers crossed it goes waaay west of you)

I live in Thibodaux, southwest of New Orleans. I'm brewing some Community Dark Roast at the moment. The other night I was setting up my generator and I was sweating bullets at 7pm. Last night, I had fried popcorn shrimp and catfish....mmmmmm.

Holy moley, I just noticed you're in SE LA--where are you, the Hammond area? I spent my first 31 years in Baton Rouge ... man, I *love* Louisiana. The people, the atmosphere, the food ... At home in Raleigh we drink Community dark roast, but you can't get crawfish or Manda sausage worth a darn. I don't know if I could live through another Baton Rouge summer, but I sure miss everything else about home! --Ken
