FS:Modded R6 / R7 Goldtop L@@K !!!!!!

For sale: 2005 Historic R6 Goldtop, serial number 6 52XX.

Originally had P90's but changed to Sheptone Tribute humbuckers.

Also has a light relic finish and aged parts. All work done by Lays Guitar Shop in Akron, Ohio.

There are no issues with this guitar. It is straight, plays great and looks awesome. Frets are in EXCELLENT condition. It was gigged with maybe 4 times in the past three years, so it doesn't have much playing time on it.

Comes with a brown USA Gibson case with pink shroud, original COA and two guitar specific hang tags.

$1795.00 PayPal and shipped included to the lower 48 states.

Canada, Hawaii and Alaska pay actual shipping from zip 44260.

Email bosher@neo.rr.com for more info and more hi res pics.

A. Money is really tight.
B. The pickups have been changed.
C. People don't like reliced guitars

This thing is simply killer. I've had it next to real 57's and you couldn't tell the difference.

Oh well, patience is a virtue.

I'd buy it in a heartbeat if the necks on the R6/7's were a bit smaller..

I used to feel the same. My first Les Paul was a 76 Standard with a slim taper. I also had several other Gibsons , V, Firebird, Explorer, SG's, 6 les Pauls and a 335 all with slim tapers. Once I played a Historic, I never wanted another thin neck. Sold all the others. Thick is good. Adds to the tone IMHO.

Re: FS:Modded R6 / R7 Goldtop L@@K !!!!!!

That finish looks nice.

I know that Dan at Lay's does great work...but is that a total refinish...or was he able to just age the exisiting finish?
