1200 dollars for your guitar?
Looking to buy a cool guitar I have 1200 dollars to spend show me any offers please. Anything you got I would at least consider looking at.
However I would really like to get something from 1978 maybe even a double cut or whatever you got that you want to get rid of? |

Also I wouldn't mind something along the following lines but if you have something else feel free to let me know Here's my list PRS's no SE's LP's no studios Explorer's Firebirds SG's V's Definitley would consider anthing made by Heritage A fender with a maple neck must be SSS I don't like these with humbuckers I would really like an RD Artist, or an ES of some sort no 125's or student models more along the lines of a 335 or similar. I hope this helps |

Re: 1200 dollars for your guitar?
Oh and no tele's I have enough of them.
An if its a strat and has a rosewood board I won't even consider it unless it prior to 1979 and even then I might not be interested |

Re: 1200 dollars for your guitar?
Nothing with EMG's and I would prefer unmodded guitars. Or at least if they have been altered I would like to be able to put them back to original meaning to routering done etc. If the original pickups are gone thats ok I guess depending on what you got.

Also if you look around theres alot of cool gear for around 1200 dollars. I found a few 70's RD artists in this price range but most people don't want to ship. Also found a nice 78 LP special for under 800 dollars but the seller never replies to emails Found a 1966 firebird that was refinished for 900 dollars but the seller refuses to ship it. So if you look around theres alot of cool gear out there but alot people only want to deal locally and cash in hand only. You just have to look. Apparently I haven't looked hard enough or I would have already made a purchase. |

Re: 1200 dollars for your guitar?
Any love for this '85 Explorer XPL? It's absolutely killer. Custom Shop Edition, double cream Dirty Fingers, Kahler. I have owned since 1992 and it still has the factory setup. Tell me what you think. Critique my playing, tone, whatever but please don't let the erratic video stop you from enjoying the erratic playing.

Re: 1200 dollars for your guitar?
Awesome guitar, to bad the kahler kills it for me. I already have one guitar with a floyd rose, I have had kahlers in the past too and never again. These guitars just aren't for me. I find string changes to be a pain, set ups cost me more, and I just never play a guitar that has a kahler or a floyd rose. I guess you either love them or hate them.
Anyways I just put in an offer on a H535 and am waiting to a response back. I guess we will see what happens. Thanks for the offer though, and sweet video. |

Re: 1200 dollars for your guitar?
I'm waiting on someone to get back with me on a guitar they have, so if they want to sell I'll be selling this Studio Gem in Emerald Green. I see where you have an offer out, so let me know if that goes through or not.

Re: 1200 dollars for your guitar?
I am not a huge studio fan anymore but depending on what your asking I would definitley be interested.
Believe it or not there is a store local to me that has the exact same guitar. I have also seen the sapphire version at a different store last week when I was in Chicago. If my offer doesn't go through I will let you know, I am just waiting for a response. thanks, Nick |

Re: 1200 dollars for your guitar?
Thanks for the consideration. I have to say this is a most interesting way to search for a new guitar. Hats off. Lots of neat offers. I especially love the green LPs. You are right, Kahlers are definately an acquired taste. But I have to say for the record...This guitar has been exceptionally stable and is running the factory setup from 1985. I even recieved a compliment on the action from the local vintage guitar store. Being used to MY ebony '76 Custom with a much beefier neck and extremely low, wide frets this Explorer is almost too easy to play!

Re: 1200 dollars for your guitar?
I think I have a winner, I currently found two Heritage H535's for 1250 paypalled and shipped one is a 1990 with a natural finish and a curly maple top and back, the other is a 2008 with a nice flame top and a cherry sunburst finish.
Both look amazing. The only question I have is which one is better? The 2008 or the 1990? Both are mint. Any advice from the Heritage experts would really be appreciated. Does year make a huge difference in quality here? |

Re: 1200 dollars for your guitar?
Wow you guys are really killing me. I love that explorer, and that les paul OMG its gorgeous.
To bad I can only afford 1250 dollars in my guitar budget right now. The only way I could make the 78 LP work is if you wanted a trade of some sort. But I don't know that I even have much to trade. Is the 78 LP all original? Shouldn't it have different volume knobs? Also what pickups? Did they have covers back then? What color is that called? Probably shouldn't even ask questions I can't afford it anyways. But I am drooling thinking about it. |

Re: 1200 dollars for your guitar?
The pups are dimarzios, the tuners are gotohs, not sure about the knobs, the color is orange with white ghost flames underneath which was a pro refinish, I think it started out ebony because the back of the headstock is black, the neck has been sanded down to bare wood.

Re: 1200 dollars for your guitar?
Man that still sounds super sweet. To bad she's been modded but I love the color.
Still can't do anything about it though as my max budget is 1200 dollars and already extended buy 50 dollars, which to most people might not seem like alot but I have found less can be a definite deal breaker. Anyways I have an beautiful 1990 Heritage H535 with a curly maple top and back. If you can do 1250 for the LP I would take that instead just because I want a 78 since thats the year I was born. Otherwise I am gonna pickup this heritage. (by the way I would never even expect you to consider 1250 for the LP) But hey man I can only afford what I can afford. Besides I just recently sold an ES 335 Studio so I could probably used some sort of ES 335 style guitar to replace it |
