2003 Gibson Firebird VII

Here's your chance to own one of the classiest looking guitars Gibson ever built. Discontinued a couple of years ago, the Firebird VII features a 5-ply mahogany/walnut, neck-through design with mahogany wings and a bound ebony fingerboard with pearl block inlays. It comes equipped with three mini-humbucker pickups and a Maestro vibrato. This particular guitar is finished in Vintage Cherry with gold hardware. According to Gibson, this colour was only available on the VII in 2003. The guitar is near-mint showing very little signs of use, and comes with the original brown case with pink lining. $1,795 plus shipping & PayPal fees.

That's odd, If I'm not mistaken, Are those silver mirrored knobs, On a gold hardware guitar?

I'm not saying it looks bad, It's a beautiful guitar, But I just find it interesting that Gibson doesn't always match the hardware on one guitar.

Still, It doesn't look bad..

Hardware is cheap and can be swapped, I find 99% of people ignore this fact, and often identify a guitar by its knobs, or trc, the cheapest hardware swaps. Thats like specifing a vintage guitar by what strings it has on it.

might just be the lighting/angle of
the shot making them look silver, in lieu
of gold.

No, you saw it. I was just trying to get the thread back on track, without saying what I wanted to say. That is one stunning guitar.

Re: 2003 Gibson Firebird VII

Sorry.
I haven't been ignoring the thread. I just haven't had a second to pull out the guitar and check the knobs until now.

He's right. They are silver caps. Now that I look at it, I would think gold knobs with gold inserts would be the way to go, but that'll be the new owner's decision...

Wanna trade for a 1964 super reverb player and a near mint 70's vibro champ?
