Re: FS: NOS Sprague VitaminQ & GI Paper/Oil Capacitors
would you be willing to sell off 1 or 2 of the .022s by themselves or do they have to be paired?

Yeah,no problem. I've got more.
I just thought I'd make it easy for people to upgrade their Gibsons.... Email me what you want and I'll send a paypal invoice. Thanks! |

Re: FS: NOS Sprague VitaminQ & GI Paper/Oil Capacitors
How do the .022 General Instuments compare to a Sprague Hyrel of the same value?? I'm very partial to the Hyrels and haven't found any cap out there in it's league.

Re: FS: NOS Sprague VitaminQ & GI Paper/Oil Capacitors
they are completely different beasts. For Marshall type amp mustards is the way to go... for tone controls within the guitar PIOs sound the best to my ears.
I've tried mustards for tone control but they are ok but nowhere as "vocal" as PIOs.

Quote:
They're very close if not identical in tone. I have used Sprague Vit. Q, Hyrel and Filmite labeled caps extensively. -(They're all the same btw, just different labels.) The General Instrument .022 Caps are in the same league. |

These things sound really great. Just put a set in my 08' Tokai LS105 Lester.
