Re: wtb tube amp

My Epi VJ might be on the market, if I could figure out what is wrong with it... I think the cheap switch may have just fallen apart inside when I took it out to cover the face plate...

I'll probably take it in to a shop one of these days when I've got some spare scratch... I've retolexed this one in baby blue.

So roughly what wattage are you looking for? Are you looking for loud cleans, multiple channels, high gain, what?

So you're not sure what you want... What kind of places you gig at? Do that mic your stuff up through the house PA? Have you played through anything you liked at your local shops?

Re: wtb tube amp

Mines not for sale, but I definitely recommend a Blues Deluxe Reissue. They're always coming up on Craigslist for $400 or $450. I practice with my band around 2 and a half, and I've played live with it a few times without miching it also.

Not to hijack the thread, but does anyone know why these are priced so cheap?
If the OP is in the US maybe this would work.

there not for everyone... stock they really dont do cleans well at all, if at all lol... you have a weee bit of head room with those amps, but not much... swap out preamp tubes 1 and 2 with a lower gain tubes and you have your headroom... i have the 100w head and 4x12 cab and absolutley love it... they dont get enough credit for just how awesome they really are... heres a vid with the windsor in a blind test aginst a high dollar marshall head
