I am wanting one of those so bad. What is the neck profile like? The weight would be cool too.

Sweet guitar man.

The bottom pic looks like a lighter wood the other pics make it look like ebony. I retract my previous statement. Bump to a good seller for responding so fast and getting pics up so quickly.

Re: Selling 70s model les paul custom black

Well a while back he said he had put a 57 classic in it and a SD 59 but looks like it may be both 57 classics. When we traded guitars he said they were some kind of Gibson pickups but wasnt sure. I also took a picture of the neck tenon and the serial number puts it at either 71 or 72 and tenon and valute definitely fall in that catagory to me.The rest is a guess to me. And notice the scratch or wood seperation between the pickups. It does not go all the way through it is just on the top and looks like it is where two of the pieces of the top were joined. Cosmetic doesnt affect the guitar. I may be interested in partial trades but really need money more than stuff right now.

Re: Selling 70s model les paul custom black

I can't PM you. Though I have been looking for one, there are just a few too many "ch-ch-ch-ch-ch changes." On the other hand I have an extra Antique Classic. Is anything about hardware and electrics still Gibson? Is it a ten pounder? Not to be mean spirited, but a rundown would be important to anyone thinking of this. I would look at it as a restoration project-stripped, leveled seams, pickups, hardware. For its age, it is decent and looks like it was an honorable road warrior-those kind have mojo, even when re-done. The binding looks good and tight. If I have hurt your feelings I abjectly apologize. the person I got it from said it had gibson pickups and i would guess they are 57 classics by the fact all they have is the patent sticker. Hardware is new and does not say gibson on it anywhere so ? She is heavey but dont have a scale I trust 100% so she is definitely 9lbs to 11lbs.
