I recently ordered a 5W all tube amp kit from Aston Electronics. I spent the good part of a couple weeks building it and making sure everything was solid, and then good trumped by not putting the fuse in the right place.

However, now it works perfectly, and sounds phenomenal. It's got three controls: a volume, bass and tone. Along with a standby switch and an on/off power switch. On the back, it has an AC power cable (supplied), a headphones jack to run a dummy load and two speaker outputs - 8ohm and 16ohm.

It runs on two tubes: An EL84 and 12AX7. The tubes aren't included.

Here's what Aston say about it:

"Want a little more than just Tone and Volume, this little devil should wet your appetite. With variable Treble and Bass, you can deliver some of the crunchiest sounds on the planet with this baby.

The power provided by an EL84 + 12AX7 gives you a true vintage rock tone whether you are using humbuckers or single coils. This kit is supplied with a ceramic valve base and vintage style turret tag board.

8/16 Ohm Output. The headphone jack runs a dummy load. This allows you to work it hard and get a true valve distortion."

- One of the Volume pots has been replaced by a CTS pot (work was done by Neil at SoundsLive)

- A few small marks by the bridge tone Pot

- Crack to the Bridge Tone Tophat

- Small ding on the side next to the strap button.


Original pickups have been replaced with SD Antiquity PAF pickups.

Comes with original Gibson Hardcase.

Dunlop Heil Talk Box for sale. Used once when I got it a couple of years ago for about an hour. It has been stored in the box it was shipped to me in for 4 years so is in brand new condition. Testing the water with this. Would any one be interested in trading a historic(all soughts considered) or norlin lp custom for two Custom Shop First Act guitars? Both guitars are USA made and feature a 25" scale length and nitro lacquer. First act's custom shop is producing some quality product at the moment and has some high profile endorsees.

The two guitars are a Lola, all honduran mahogany single cut with a dark rosewood board, Features two kent armstrong vintage spec humbuckers. The other is the Sheena which is a kind of a set neck tele with a firebird headstock, flame maple neck, birdseye board and a bridge bucker and p90 in the neck.

The guitars have been gigged a fair bit and are showing some battle scars and some laquar lifting away.

Guys...i am thinking about selling my new beautiful VOS Pearly Gates that i havn't even received yet from a UK dealer...the reason is because i am now buying the last 'signed and aged' PG in the UK.

This VOS PG is quite simply stunning...it even has a bald spot similar to the real Pearly Gates.

Bought new in Dec 2008, and it's never been out of my bedroom... still got the plastic on the control cavity cover.. I've performed the following mods:

- replaced stock Agile pickups with Iron Gear Rolling Mill (IronGear Customer Feedback - Rolling Mill)
- one push-pull pot to split both humbuckers for single coil sounds
- another push-pull pot to put the neck and bridge pickups out of phase (equivalent to 'Peter Green' mod)
- swapped neck and bridge vol and tone controls (upper pots now control bridge, lower pots the neck)
- full shielding with copper tape

Aside from a little fret wear, condition is pretty much 'as new'.... no scratches, dings etc aside from a tiny mark on the top edge of the headstock.

Near the output jack is a small area that looks different to the surrounding region - it looks like a plug was inserted (in the factory, before finishing) to correct a flaw.

Contrary to popular belief, it does feature a thick maple cap (rather than a veneer):

Hey, i'm considering selling my '98 Gibson Les Paul classic, it has shed zeppellin pickups installed which i'm sure you'll know and so sounds heavenly, definitely the best sounding guitar i've owned. I'm new here but I've been on the harmony central forum and musicradar forum for a while. I figured I'd try my chance selling my SG although this is mainly a les paul forum

Here it is,

Gibson SG 1974-1975.
Mini humbucker
Headstock in good shape apart from some serial etching in the back of the head. The serial number of the guitar is perfectly visible. The headstock has no break of any kind.

Has a case, a bit beaten up but works well.

Recently setup and electronics checked. It sounds awesome.
Strap lock makes it even better.

I'm asking £700 for it.

Collection preferred but can post. Will part exchange for a romany plus or a vox ac30 heritage (head+cash or combo).
