1989 Fender American Strat w/factory Kahler system for sale

I have decided to sell off a few of my personal guitars and this is the first one that I'm going to sell. This is a 1989 Fender Stratocaster in olympic white or vintage white......its now a cream color. You can tell by looking under the pickguard that it used to be a much brighter white. The entire guitar is 100% original and has never been apart. The frets are original, the pickups are original and so is everything else. This guitar is one of the few to get the kahler setup. Most of the strats that received the kahler system also received humbuckers. This one only received the kahler system. The kahler setup is 100% complete with no missing parts and it works flawlessly. It also stays in tune very well.

This guitar is a player. It has some bumps, scratches, and chips, but nothing that will affect its playability. Overall, it is a very nice player grade guitar. If you want something that has great tone that you can beat on for limitless hours, then this is your guitar. It comes with an ABS plastic fender case and I was told that it was its original case. I'll try to post better pictures tonight. I'm asking $900 for the guitar. I would much rather sell it here than have to go to ebay with it I am open to decent offers too. Remember, this is an American Stratocaster. It doesnt say "crafted in Japan" or "Made in Japan" anywhere on it. I used provide.net to get all of my information. All the solder points are original from what I can tell and I have checked them all. I was doing a string change and I decided to pull the pickguard back to take pictures. Nothing has ever been pulled off of this guitar. The machine heads are gotoh which is factory I believe. I have the original black kahler tremolo bar that goes with this guitar and so does the case. The guitar is sold as is, but I'll assure you, you wont be disappointed.

I noticed cracks along the neck pocket. Can you verify if these cracks go down to the wood or just the poly finish?

Yes sir, thanks for the reply. Some of them are into the paint. Only a few though. Most of the cracks are just checking. From what I can tell, none of the cracks are into the wood. None of this would affect tone. I will try to post some better pictures of the guitar strung up and outside in a day or so.

Thanks and yes I believe that its a very nice guitar. I have certainly used it a lot. This guitar has a bluesy sound to it and doesnt have extremely hot pickups. You can get a lot of different sounds out of it though. I really enjoy playing it but I cant keep them all

I would consider an r8,r9, or r0 as a trade and of course I would throw in the extra cash to get it done. I might even want a standard but the only ones im interested in is PLAIN tops

Ok, so I plugged into it and played it for awhile last night. It has a great feel. The input jack had some static in it when I first plugged into it......so that may need to be looked at. 50 bucks should cover it. NEW FINAL PRICE $600. I'll ship it anywhere in the USA at the buyers expense

well, its just taking up space. I have my # 1, #2, #3 strats. I dont really need a #4 LOL....heck, I dont even need #2 & #3. Its not even a money issue at all. Im running outta space. Do you think more pictures would help?

For those of you looking at this guitar, please understand that there is nothing wrong with it. Its a great player. I just dont have any more room for it. I have two closets full and I have now resorted to leaving a couple on my stands in my studio. $600 is basically giving this away. If I took the time to put it on ebay, it would certainly bring more than that. It also comes with its case and tremolo bar.
