for sale uk - tokai 1980 vintage guitar

Hello, I have this rare beasty from 1980,and I thought I would list it here, the closest one to this guitar I can find available is from japan, its on ebay, 1981 model and it is for sale for over £1000!!!, plus high shipping and import tax

Mine is available in the uk,for less, for delivery or collection, and its a real beauty


I am very open to offers.

LS50 LES PAUL STYLE 4.2kg so pretty heavy and feels very solid.

I guess the price others are selling the old Tokais,goes to show how these guitars are percieved.

this ls-50

has wonderful sustain, and powerful pickups, and apart from the odd ding in its 29 year life, its doing very well, nicely ageing parts, it actually seems a lot older, and I mean that in a good way. the front is very clean, the back has a bit of belt buckle rash, and the old mark, as you can see in the photos it looks stunning.

i probably shouldnt sell, and hell I love the thing,but I have been bitten by the guitar bug. I might even end up trading this to get something else (a reborn ?, or maybe a 335)even against my better judgement, I know its going up and up in price,as people are collecting them, but needs must

Its a cracking guitar, I am blown away by the early tokais, I have such a bad bug for the reborn now, and I also want a breezy (telecaster)

thanks, it is a good offer, I think i saw a hot rod for £480 at reidys recently, i remember thinking it was a good deal
I have been offered £600 for the tokai so far so just waiting really, that was a local offer,and I have been offered by someone else locally, a whole raft of guitar stuff to swap.
But really I would prefer a good straight trade really.
