Hybrid series is one of several lines of electric guitars in Michael Kelly Guitars catalog. It is based upon the legendary Les Paul double-cut design. This series is not as big as the Patriot line, but it offers high quality models. Hourglass Limited Spalted Flame Maple Top is a limited edition guitar from this series and it features the solid, double-cut body with carved top construction. Body of this six-string axe is made of mahogany back with spalted flamed maple top. It`s flamed and spalted maple top is one of the most attractive tops found in Michael Kelly catalog. Tremolo bridge on the top is fronted by a pair of zebra-coiled humbucker pickups. Standard-shaped mahogany neck is set in and it`s topped with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.
A PAF on Steroids! Just enough to kick start your favorite amp! This Bridge pickup takes from vintage specs and sprinkles in a little thunder and lightning to make a vintage style PAF pickup with more bite and beef than that of the standard PAF. The highs are crisp and ring will the mids are boosted and thick. The low end is more defined and pronounced but not too much to overpower the true definition and tone of this pickup. Thick and full of sustain this is a very versatile pickup for many Rock and Roll applications.

3) 1986 westone st- made in japan
This is a fantastic guitar made by Matsumoku in Japan in the early 80s. It is black on black - with chrome factory bridge and keys. It has a graphite nut (came stock that way), and stays in tune as well as a properly setup strat. It feels like a strat. The spec says it is a maple body. It is a fairly normal weight - it does not feel heavy like some other maple bodied guitars like old Kramers. This has just been upgraded with two new Alnico V wide pole pickups, about like a JB output for the bridge and a 59 output for the neck, and has three way sw, vol and tone, and the tone is a push/pull for single coil operation. The pickups split pretty well - the bridge split is about 8K or so and makes for a nice full single coil sound, and the neck sound good too. These new pickups have the wide solid poles, and they are spaced properly for the positions too. The guitar is has lots of dings, dents, chips from being played a lot. It isn't a closet queen but it still looks acceptable and plays very well. You don't have to worry about dinging this one, if you do no biggie. It is a PLAYER. But a unique and excellently playing and sounding guitar at that. I went completely through it setting the trem up, setting intonation, cleaning and oiling fret board, polishing the frets. It is an excellent overall guitar, feels familiar like a strat, is unique but doesn't look out of place - a very comfortable and competent tool. Lots of reflections on that glossy black, sorry, it is hard to photograph.
