Re: The Trading Post

Greetings,

My name is Kie Cochran and I have a 2003 Gibson R8 (1958 reissue) in wonderful condition...in (plain) faded cherry...though it is a bit more ice tea in coloration. I am interested in trading for a nice LP reissue with a Bigsby specifically and thought I'd try this thread for starters.
I just recently joined this site and have been a guitarist for over 25 years and own (or have owned) many desirable amps and guitars. I am partial to a tremolo....and my Gibby just doesn't have one...and I won't dare drill into it and am not really interested in the Stetsbar or other like tremelo contraptions. Any insight or help would be greatly appreciated. I have worked on guitars in both sales and service and can confirm that my Les Paul sounds and plays absolutely wonderful. It will NOT be easy to part with should the right offer come along. I also have a 65Amps "London" 1x12 Celestion Blue that I am considering trading as well....maybe!!!

Re: The Trading Post

I figured I'd post this; 2004 G&L S-500 Premium Tribute, comes with non-original HSC, both in fantastic shape. The guitar does have the American G&L MFD pickups. I've also got a set of WCR Fillmores w/nickel covers. Looking for SG Special or LP Jr. Special, but will listen to offers. Just in a mood to try something new. I'll email additional pics if anyone's interested; shoot a p.m. if you want to talk.

thanks,

jco

Re: The Trading Post

Just thought I would check to see if anyone is interested in my 2005 PRS CE 22 for trade. It's in terrific shape and sounds awesome! The trussrod cover is aluminum and has the "20th" inscribed in it.

I will consider trading for another solid body guitar including Gibson, Musicman and PRS.

Thanks

Re: The Trading Post

I have 6 sets of unopened Ernie Ball RS .10 med gauge strings that I am looking to trade for 6 sets of .09 light gauge strings. I no longer want to play med strings and want to unload the ones that I have. If anyone is interested in doing a straight swap please let me know. The only thing that I ask is that they are in the original unopened pkgs. They don't necessarily have to be Ernie Ball's either. I don't really care about that.

Here's a pic of what I have.

Thank you.

WTT For R9

I realize I'm probably showing up late for the party but here goes...

Looking to trade a super clean original (except for Grovers) 1970 ES-335 in Cherry Sunburst, with OHSC. There is a little finish checking and some light worming on the back, but not through the finish, along with some fret wear. The guitar has been played but is in super condition. All electronics are original and the guitar has never had any headstock breaks or repairs. She's a real sweetie! The guitar is realistically valued at around $4k+, even in today's economy.

Looking for an R9 in Cherry sunburst, but will look at Iced Tea or Tobacco burst. Only an R9 will do, must have some nice flame. Not too interested in the Murphy route. Just not my cup o' tea.

Pics available on request.

Thanks!

Re: The Trading Post

Although I'm relatively new here, I've been on the other LP forum a while and I'm a moderator on the Ibanez Jemsite.

I've been trying to work a trade deal for a R-0 with a guy and it's not going well, so I thought I'd mention it here and see if anyone might be interested:

Looking for a R-9 or R-0 and I'd trade these 3 guitars........

1995 Custom Shop Nashville Tele in Holoflake black w/COA

plus

1991 Ibanez USA Costum in snakeskin

plus

2000 Ovation 1698 (now the Al MeMeola model) shallow bowl
sorry- no pix yet - cherry red, MOP tuners, Abalone rosette and Abalone around edge of body, high and low input jacks.

I'm in CT.

I am looking for an Older Red Fostex MR8 Digtal recorder with the flash cards etc. I had one a couple years ago and found it so much easier to use than my PC based recording program.

There are a bunch of these on ebay but I wanted to check here at MLPF first and see if anybody had one that they wanted to do so me Trading for. I can offer you some wiring or pickups and maybe a little cash. So if you have one of these or something similar and are interested in a Trade you can email me at jonesyblues@yahoo.com or give me a call at 1-574-806-4480

Thanks, jonesy

Pretty low, but the strap looks a LOT longer than it is because of the angle... I dunno, the top arch sits at about my belt buckle, my buckle rash hits above the tone switch cover on the back.

Re: The Trading Post

I have my Marshall solid state MG50DFX up for sale/trade if anyone here at MLPF is interested. I bought it brand new a little over a year ago and it is still in really excellent condition. I have two other amps for teaching and am not really using this one very much so I thought I would offer it up here to someone who may need it?

Features: 50 Watts, 12" Speaker, 2 channels with foot switch, one clean and one overdrive, built in digital fx, reverb, line in/out, external speaker jack and comes with Marshall foot switch (channel switching and FX)

Not as warm sounding as a tube amp, but I prefer this Marshall over the line 6 and the crate stuff any day. You can get some pretty decent Tones out of it if you dial it in right, and you can always use an overdrive pedal with it as well. Great for jamming or gigging out at clubs or practicing with a group, plenty loud enough but can also be used with an 8 ohm 4 x 12 cabinet if you have one.

These are currently going for $399 new and I am asking $299 for this used one includes shipping to the CONUS, add $40 extra for shipping to Canada, I would rather not do overseas shipping on this amp. Paypal/email to: jonesyblues@yahoo.com

I may be interested in taking an epi 335, or a telecaster in trade for this Marshall and would consider any reasonable offers you might have?
