Re: The Trading Post

I got a set of gold Gibson Vintage Style tuners given to me yesterday.

I don't have a single guitar that I can put them on, but I really want to put a set of Vintge Styles on my LP Special.

Anybody got a set in chrome or nickel they want to trade, straight up? PM me.

Re: The Trading Post

I have

2006
Gorgeous Epi Sheraton II in antural finish- absolutely 100% mint condition (used less than ten times in my temp control guitar room and stored either in it’s plush gig bag, on wall stand or occasionally on the top level of the bunk bed wrapped in a super plush comforter.) This guitar is cleaner than any on the shelf. No marks on the frets = zero fret wear, straight as an arrow.

1963-1965
Rare and getting rarer Gibson Hawk Amplifer 2x12 in near original condition and very good ( for a 40+ year old amplifer) just had electrical parts and a new three prong chord, tubes were in good shape. One of Scotty Moore's favorite amps. It's outlived many rockabilly greats of the 50's and 60's. It's not perfect- it has some light to moderate pitting on the face plate, and a ding on each front top corner probably from being stored for years- but overall looks, plays and sounds great. The face is clean with no tears, no missing knobs which many of this vintage are. I would rate it 7-8 out of 10. This amplifier has four inputs- two for guitar and two for harp. It has Loudness, Bass and Treble controls and Reverb, Depth and Frequency controls and foot switch- still with original chord. Only channel two has reverb, that's the way they were wired. I beleive it has approximately thirty amps with the original speakers.

This is probably not your everyday -take to the gig- amp but a nice collector piece to keep in your guitar room and use occasionally and or just store for later resale or to hand down to a lucky junior guitar player. It can only go up in value.

would consider selling or trading either for a fair price or interesting guitar or amp, possibly a tele, prs or whatever? Let me know if you're interested in either.

you can email me at pospielg@yahoo.com

WTT:Fender 57 Hot Rod Strat for 60's Bassman/Bandmaster head/cab 212 or Orange AD30

I'm looking for a 60's Bassman head and matching cab or similar, maybe along the lines of a Bandmaster, or an Orange AD30HTC with 2x12 cab to trade for a 2007 Fender '57 Hot Rod Stratocaster. Guitar is MIA, excellent condition, some buckle rash, but besides that, gorgeous. Comes with original G&G case and all case candy. Here are some pics.

BECAUSE SHIPPING A CAB/HEAD IS MORE EXPENSIVE THAN SHIPPING A GUITAR, I WILL COVER 70% OF YOUR ACTUAL SHIPPING CHARGES AS WELL AS GUITAR SHIPPING. PHOTOS ARE NECESSARY AS WELL AS INFO ABOUT TUBES/SPEAKER/ELECTRONICS CONDITION.

Re: The Trading Post

An update to the tuners post I put up here recently...

After thinking about it, i realized that I did have a guitar to put those vintage styles on - my SG Special. So I swapped 'em out, and now I've got a set of gold Grovers that I'm not using. These are the ones with a single screw, and they'll replace a set of Gibson Deluxe tuners without modification.

So, here they sit. Anybody got anything they want to trade? I could still use a set of Vintage style tuners in chrome or nickel, but I'm open to trading for something else.

Re: The Trading Post

WTT My Agile Dauntless for a MIM Strat or a Acoustic..

I traded this a few months back. It's a great sounding guitar but I just don't play it.

It has duncan design pups. Has a few finish flaws and I tried to capture them in the pictures. Also don't mind the dust.

Doesn't come with HSC.

Re: The Trading Post

2008 Gibson BFG. All Gibson nickel hardware, Gibson Deluxe Kluson tuners, Gibson Deluxe truss rod cover, 3-way toggle wired in the correct position with cream ring and amber toggle knob. Cream pickguard, gold knobs with a killswitch wired in the upper tone position. The pickups are cream painted EMGs, 81 in the bridge and P85 in the neck. The strap buttons are Schaller strap locks.
The only difference in the guitar from the photo is I now have real 1/4" MOP dot inlays installed to replace the gold dots in the picture. The guitar also comes with the original Gibson LP case with the white interior and all the original Gibson paperwork.

I'm looking for a US Fender hardtail Strat or something different in a hardtail.

I have a Gibson 490 neck pup and a Gibson Tony Iommi signature (Both chrome) that I want to trade for two decent, open, bridge pickups ex. di marzio or Seymour Duncan or maybe two zebra neck and bridge. Anything open sounding metal is preferred. Thanx!

I have a 2003 Gibson Les Paul Standard in Cherry Sunburst and want to trade for a Gibson Les Paul Special in TV Yellow (or maybe Junior). Either double or single cut considered, bigsby would be an advantage!

Also posted under 'Swap Standard for special' in main classifieds section.

Based in UK,

Smile Guitar Parts for Sale or Trade

Guitar Parts for Sale or Trade:

TonePros T1ZSA Aluminum Featherweight Locking Tailpiece NEW $100.00
TonePros AVR-II locking model (replacement for ABR-1) NEW $64.00
Gotoh Nickel Locking Tuners (SD90MG) NEW $59.95
Waverly 'Vintage-oval' Tuning Machines NEW $158.90

The Gibson–style parts were only installed briefly on a guitar that was returned to stock before it was sold. The Waverly tuners were also briefly installed on a Martin HD-28V until I sold that guitar. All the parts are in like-new condition. I take good care of my gear and these parts are no exception.

I’m open to decent offers or trades. I’m looking for high-quality, historically accurate pickup rings, pickguard, poker chip, tailpiece, and wireless ABR-1 for my R8. Anything by DMC, Vintage Clone, Montreux, or Pigtail will be considered.

Please email me at vintageanalogAThotmailDOTcom

Thanks!

Re: The Trading Post

Didn't even notice this Trade thread. Might as well post this in here. I've got this 1999 PRS custom 24 10Top for trade or sale. I'd like to trade for an LP with a 60's slim profile. I'm based in California so if you're interested let me know. thanks.

P.S. It's currently setup with EB Slinky 10's with all original hardware (phase 1 locking tuners, HFS treble/vintage bass, etc.)

Question Re: The Trading Post

2006 AAA top Gibson Studio Les Paul & Hardshell case
I would consider taking one of the faded Gibson USA made SG's and some cash in trade for this Les Paul, but I am really not interested in any epi's or squires for trades.
I really don't want to get rid of this Les Paul but I could use the extra cash to put back into my business. Not sure what kind of price to put on this guitar since it has had the headstock repaired, but all reasonable offers will be considered. I have gotten many compliments on the neck repairs and many people have mentioned you can hardly tell it was broken.

This 06' studio has the AAA Maple top and killer Tone. The 490/498's are slightly modded as I swapped out the A2's for some roughcast A 5's and is was like installing a new set of pickups. Fatter, punchier and more responsive especially for Rock and Blues.

I did a level crown and polish a while back and got the action down really low. It has a fresh set of ernie ball reg. slinkys on it now .010-.046 and sounds and plays great. Also has PIO caps installed with modern wiring.

The pu covers were removed because they sounded so much better without them. I no longer have the Gold covers so they are not included. But a brand new Gibson USA case is included.

This guitar has been played a lot before I got it and it has lot's of natural wear on hardware, and some small dents and dings but nothing major. This is a players guitar and is ready to Rock.

You can email at jonesyblues@yahoo.com for more details...

Thanks, jonesy

I did a level crown and polish a while back and got the action down really low. It has a fresh set of ernie ball reg. slinkys on it now .010-.046 and sounds and plays great. Also has PIO caps installed with modern wiring.

The pu covers were removed because they sounded so much better without them. I no longer have the Gold covers so they are not included. But a brand new Gibson USA case is included.

This guitar has been played a lot before I got it and it has lot's of natural wear on hardware, and some small dents and dings but nothing major. This is a players guitar and is ready to Rock.
