Amazing 1982 Sunburst Fender Strat

FS/FT Let me know what you got. US or MIJ LP's only. May be interested in some SG's as well...

Hwy 1 Sunburst body with a 1982 Fender Neck, Alnico 3 PU's and a black Pickgaurd put on for an SRV vibe. It had a Floyd Rose at one time, but was removed years ago. He had the fretboard replaced at the same time by a Luthier and real abalone inlays put in, he also had the upper register of the fretboard scalloped for faster action. Killer ultra thin Nitro Finish on these, check out the pic where the strap rubbed a little finish off the back!

In 1982 they kept the 70's tuners and big headstock logo, but went back to the proper 4 bolt neck, heel truss rod adjustment and smaller headstock. Comes with Fender Hardcase, here are a few pics...

2004 Gretsch g5566. Just has to go :/ willing to trade for another guitar of equal value or of course cash. In less than mint condition, save a 2inch finish chip i'd say great condition, 8/10...has been appraised at $1050. Will take $900 or trade value $1000

Re: The Trading Post

I've decided to sell my Peavey Wolfgang Special. Its a very nice USA made instrument. It definitely has a lot of EVH flavor in it. The guitar has a non recessed floyd for excellent tuning stability and sustain. This allows the guitarist to change tunings quickly with out playing with the springs in the back of the guitar to level the floyd. The D-tuna is a pleasure to use.

The guitar comes with a hardhell case and has very little fretwear. The guitar is very easy to play and harmonics jump off the neck. It's setup in Eb at the moment for jamming to VH. Any VH fan or rock guitar guitarist would be very happy with this guitar. It sounds excellent through my Marshall and crazy through my modded 6505+.

I'm only selling to thin the heard a little bit. I have a Custom LP and a Custom Explorer coming soon from Short Guitars (find them on facebook) and I need to make room for them. His user name is Shorty85 on this forum.

I will only consider trades for USA made guitars. I already have a few import guitars and I'm slowly selling them off. I don't have a lot of post's on this forum but I have great Ebay feedback and an excellent reputation and over 7000 posts on the Dean Guitars Forum.

Asking $800 plus actual shipping

Re: The Trading Post

I have a Gretsch Electromatic Junior Jet in Sunburst. Purchased new in March.

Looking to trade for:
Hollowbodies (Ibanez, Epi Dots, etc.)
Strats or Teles
Kramer Baretta
Fender HM Strat
Carvin DC-150
Schecter Solo Vintage
Schecter C1+

But shoot me an offer of anything. Worst I can say is no.

The one in the picture isn't mine, but is identical.

Re: The Trading Post

I will put up my 1997 SRV Stratocaster for the right piece. I am looking for a Les Paul. Might be interested in a nice SG and of course an ES-335,,,Have four Fenders want at least one Gibson...

My 1989 Clapton Stratocaster has been my #1 for many years and my 2000 52 AVRI Telecaster is my #2.

If I have played this 20 times in 15 years that would be a high guess (never left my house). This is about as close to "new old stock" as you are gonna get.

Re: The Trading Post

Hey all,

I have up for sale a '78 MIJ Crestline LP. From what I understand it's a rare high-end model. One piece solid Mahogany body, off-center 3 piece solid maple top. Short tenon, set neck, fret edge binding. Has non-original Samshin pickups (they're nothing special, and sound thin in everything I've heard them in except this guitar, but they're pretty hot). Also, the previous owner had three switches installed. The two on the ends are out of phase switches, and the middle is a kill switch.

Link to lots of photos:

Crestline Les Paul pictures by skateboarderth - Photobucket

Looking for a set of Throbaks, either the DT-102s MXV, or the PG-102s MXV plus a bit of cash, I'm thinking around $250 shipped conus. Pm me if interested. Thanks!

The pedal is in Europe, but a trade can be arranged over the pond. I'm interested in other pedals, mainly drive ones. Cheap Digitech (Bad Monkey, Death Metal), Danelectros, perhaps a Boss SD-1 or similar are high on the cheap-&-scatch-that-itch-list!

For those wondering, shipping a pedal to me won't cost more than 15$, AFAIK.

Let's give it a BUMP!

Re: The Trading Post

I have 3 solid state amps in great condition.

Marshall MG15 DFX.. like new in original box with manuals.

Roland Micro Cube. Also like new in original box.

Epiphone Slingshot 25r

Im looking for a epiphone valve Jr or another low watt, inexpensive tube amp. Combo or head &cab, cash can be added depending on the deal.

Re: The Trading Post

pix here.

1. Big ass slab of Mahogany. Measures 1.75" x 17" x 22" (closer to 22&1/8"), just under 12 Lbs. Told that it's honduran, given to me a by a friend that's built a few replicas, but I never got around to doing anything with it.

2. Telecaster body. 2 piece American Ash, center joined, unrouted, not sanded, ready for your mad scientist summer project experiments.

3. Telecaster Routing template kit. Not sure what it's made from, but can be used as a template for marking and routing/cutting string holes, neck and bridge pickup locations, control cavity, and neck pocket. Three pieces - sold as a set.

While forum rules dictate that a sale price be posted, I really don't know what to ask for these. How's $50 (each, plus shipping) sound? If that's some how out of line, send me a friendly note.

Open to other offers. Possible trades - tubes ( I could use some 5751s, maybe some 12at7s, EL84s, or 6V6s), pickups ( Z-90s, seth's, 57's, anything low wind, A2 or 4, light/not potted, or otherwise interesting), or a custom wiring harness for my SGHH...

2 questions....

1) This is for the neck position right? (at least recommended?)

2) Will this pickup need a new pot, or can I simply swap it where a BB pro used to be? (in a LP studio)

Hey,

Wait to hear the seller's response to be sure, but I can tell you:

1) Yes, it's recommended for the neck position (the 57 Classic+ is usually put in the bridge)

2) No, you don't NEED a new pot to install it, although I guess it's common practice to upgrade pots, but that's completely up to you. You can just unsolder the BB, and install the 57 on the same pot.

Best of luck! Great sounding pups by the way.

Re: The Trading Post

FT/FT: Amps, amps, amps

I have near 100 references on harmony-central and TGP, all positive (sell/trade). I'm looking for guitars mainly.

Jet City Picovalve 3/5w head + 112 cab - Both items are new in box, never opened. I received this as a gift last Christmas but I don't use amps for practicing anymore.

Looking for $300 + shipping (trade value $350)

Trace Elliot Speed Twin H100 - In 7/10 condition cosmetically, a few signs of use here and there but no major issues. No electronic issues. This is a fairly rare head, great Marshall type tones out of this, a very underrated amp that's not just a one trick pony. with footswitch

Looking for $600 + shipping (trade value $750)

Lambeth JL-100 - Awesome Hiwatt tones! Great glassy cleans and a great clang with a hot vintage humbucker equipped guitar, nails The Who tone. PTP build and just a handful in existence. Built by Joshua Lambeth who works R&D for a major PA gear brand for his upstart boutique amp business that never had a chance to take off. The amp is in 8.5/10 condition cosmetically.

Looking for $800 + shipping (trade value $1100)

Kafel S-150 RED - This is an amazing amp and I'll probably own one again if it sells or trades, if not I'll gladly keep it. Best cleans I've ever heard on any amp, clean headroom through the roof (your ears will bleed before it breaks up). A very versatile 2nd light OD channel, put your favorite OD out front and this amp can scream. This amp really lets the individual characteristics of each guitar shine through it.

A very clean build, in-house hand wound power transformers (very beefy and rock solid work!), gets 150 watts out of 4 EL34s, currently running 2 EL34s, comes with original footswitch and suede slip cover.

Looking for $1150 shipped (trade value $1250)

Re: The Trading Post

Daniel,

Is the Nickel Gotoh tail piece a US Thread? or Metric?

I am in the process of acquiring all nickel parts to replace all the gold on my Double Cut standard--

I really dig the Yin yang inlay--no clue what the hell I would put it in--or how in the hell I would install it-

PM me please--

Re: The Trading Post

Hi all,
I have

1) 2011 american standard strat in blizzard pearl.
Probably 10 hours of play, never jammed with.
no scratches no nothing, case and candy all
new. stickers/tags even the tremolo sticker is still intact.
I think 2011 was the last year for this color

2) ibanez rg420eg red brick.
Barely played also, never gigged/jammed with.
This has been discontinued.
Super hard to find one,
upgraded with seymour duncan jb/jazz combo.
comes with ibanez case.

3) Jackson Dk2t trans black.
8/10 condition slightly used, no dings, little scratches from usage/normal wear.
Also has jb/jazz combo.

I am wanting to trade for a gibson les paul classic or standard.
Doesn't matter what year/color.
As long as its playable
Pictures upon request,
probably easier to send it through your phone,

Re: The Trading Post

FT I have a Seymour Duncan JB that I would like to trade for either a matched pair of equal value 12AX7's or 5751's or a matched pair of equal value 6V6's (preferably G's). I'm open to offers so don't be afraid to contact me here or at orangeslicemusic -AT- yahoo -DOT- com.

Thanks,
-John

Re: The Trading Post

I got a couple of horses I am looking to trade for either a nice vintage japanese 335 style or I could trade all three for the right guitar?

1. Vintage V100MRPGM Lemon Drop/ Peter Green model (has the out of phase pups)
2. Gibson Studio Faded Les Paul Cherry w/seymour Jazz/JB set (like new)
3. Vintage V100 faded tabacco

PM me for pics as I have a lot
