FS: 1992 Les Paul Classic Plus

This is a 1992 Gibson Les Paul Classic Plus in Heritage Cherry Sunburst finish. This was made during the early production years of Classics when headstock says Les Paul Model instead of Classics. The condition is outstanding, considering it is 20 years old. It is still in very glossy, clean condition. It is used but not abuse so it does have some signs of wear, ie. minor dings, rashes, surface scratches here in there. I would say the condition is 9 out of 10. It is equipped with Gibson '57 Classics pickups. The neck on this is slim tapered like any Classics. It will be shipped in its original Brown Gibson case, although a rivet came off from the handle but I am sure it's an easy fix. I just don't know how to do it.

Does it make me old if I remember where I was on Aug 7, 1992 (date-stamp in neck pocket)?!? GLWS, its a beauty...

This is not a classic, it would say classic plus in the cavity. This is a much rarer guitar and would be considered a pre historic reissue. See how it has a small R6 in the bridge cavity. These guitars came with 57' classics instead of the ceramic pickups the classics came with. Very cool and rare guitar.

The previous owner said it is a Classic Plus so I'll sell her as that but I know what you mean. Plus, I don't have a COA to prove that. Thanks though.

What is the usual going rate for a Classic if you dont mind me asking? I thought they were usually around 1600-1800. Is this one diffrent or is it concidered vintage now?

Generally speaking, the early '90's Classics (1990-93, I believe) are considered to be the pinnacle of that model and usually are sold at a premium price. jhun, GLWS, its a beauty!!

I saw your other FS thread regarding your replica, very nice. I can't believe you're selling both of these!!!! your prices seem more than fair for either of these items, (I just saw a 93 classic HCSB in a local store this morning for 3k and it wasn't as nice as yours). I've got this one bookmarked in myebay (but we just bought a new boat, so my wife's answer will surely be an astounding no!!!) Good luck on selling the pre-historic

Honestly speaking, I've seen jhun sell quite a few guitars here, and his pricing always has been very fair. If you noticed, a previous poster noted that this guitar could in fact be a preHistoric Custom Shop reissue rather than a Classic, which would be worth quite a bit more, if documented. The fact that he priced it as a Classic instead is quite admirable. Next time, as you suggested, if you don't like the price, just move on instead of making comments about the prices being too high.
