FS/FT - 2004 '68 LPC Historic RI
2004 '68 Custom Historic Re-issue in 9+/10 condition..wonderful guitar, it's just time for me to pare down 1 more.
Includes Black Historic case in 8/10 condition (9.5+ interior) - outside has a few scuff's and marks, but nothing effecting its usefulness. Guitar is factory stock condition - Includes all case candy and original COA. Gold hardware shows use (as to be expected), but no points are completely worn through or no longer gold in apperance. Play wear, but no abuse. Pickmarks on the guard and maybeye 1 or 2 on the guitar itself (havent had it out lately to to over completely), but nothing through to the finish. Back is very clean with no marks that I can see. Very nice ebony fretboard and the neck profile is somewhat larger than I'd expected - not a baseball bat to be sure, just a tad chunkier. Weight was listed as 9.1# when I purchased from a reputable dealer - my hands tell me its a bit more (thats just above my R9 and it feels closer to 10# to me - but it could just be me) so sold as in the 9-10# range in the interest of full disclosure and the fact I dont have a scale at the moment. I am in Ohio and shipping anywhere in the US via FedEx or UPS not an issue..Canada/Intl talk with me first for a quote. 2650 shipped to the lower 48 - others can request a quote on shipping. As far as trades, trade value I'd put around 2900, I am fairly open to other historics, nice acoustics or any well built guitar. I also have a R9 I will post some pics of later today, and would consider a 2-1 for something higher end. Shoot me a PM and we can talk. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

and a few pics of the R9 - solid 9/10, gloss finish - not sure if interested in selling individually, but would certainly include in the right trade.

Bump - replying to PM's now..
Just for clarification, the R9 I would likely only offer in combo with the custom in a trade up package, and not individually. Will consider short term "hold" on the custom for cash offers with appropiate non refundable down payment as well. |

2500 cash - shipped/PP in USA
Trades, hit me up...still willing to trade straight up for a Nice historic, PRS or acoustic + cash where needed. Keep putting off letting this go to consignment, as I'd rather just trade it and save both parties some $$ |

Re: FS/FT - 2004 '68 LPC Historic RI
Forgot to add - it may be an,'06, not an '04 (if that matters greatly)
Neck is 60's profile - closest match would be R0-G0 I think. |

1 day sale - '68 Custom RI - $2099+ shipping&pp
OK, not an absolute 1 day sale, but definitely wont be here longer than Friday, regardless if it sells here or not.
I have never been so torn on selling a guitar before...wanted one of these FOREVER, but when it comes down to it, I like the R9 better. As I now have broken down and bought another, something must go. 2099- you pay actual shipping and PP fee if not gifted. Simply put you don't find customs for this price, and definitely not historics. Its in nice, used shape...no major defects and nothing aside from usual pick marks or swirling. If its not sold by this weekend, ill need to find a hiding spot for it in order to add something new, so just giving it one last shot at a sale. Trades as always can be discussed, but 2099 is clearly a cash only price. |

Re: FS/FT - 2004 '68 LPC Historic RI
Neck profile- again, compared to a R9, its slimmer with a bit more shoulder to my hands.
Definitely 60's style, but just not ultra skimpy. Weight, as mentioned was told low 9's at purchase- I say mid/low 9's...not the heaviest custom I've ever held by far- but not a 8#r either. As customs go, its on the low-mid weight range. |
