Vintage 1960s 5w tube guitar amp

It's a Lafayette and comes with the paperwork. I am guess it's from the early to mid 60s. Most Lafayette amps were built by Univox in Japan but I am pretty sure this predates Univox, probably a Guya build

This has got to be the quietest amp I have ever owned, not a hint of a whisper of hiss at all. Clean tones are very Fenderish and when the volume is maxed, it sounds like Iommi's old Laney

It uses (2) 6AV6's and (1) 6AR5 w/ 2 silicon rectifiers and comes with the original Alnico speaker and two working instrument inputs








Looks like the original tubes in it. I dig the amp but I won't be keeping it. This would be better for somebody with single coils though I have yet to put an overdrive in front of it. This amp is bright sounding so I dial the tone back pretty far to get the Iommi tone

I think this amp would be perfect for a Fender single coil player

Only issue of note is that the power indicator bulb needs to be replaced. The power switch was replaced sometime in it's past and needs to be soldered in but runs fine as is, Lafayette badge is missing and the tolex could use a cleanup but still in great shape
