FS: Fender G.E. Smith Telecaster Honey Blonde
Fender G.E. Smith Telecaster for sale. Honey Blonde thin nitro. Grain is clearly visible through finish. Fat U-shaped neck. Not too fat. About as deep as my Les Paul 1959 RI but a little wider. One of the most comfortable necks I've ever played. 6105 frets. Very little fretwear. Frets are nice and low. Has a couple of body dings. Everything else is excellent condition.
7.7 lbs All case candy. Case is in near mint condition. Even still has the protective plastic on the hardware. Gots twang. Plucking the strings with your fingers almost like you're playing the bass is extremely fun. Nice warm tones with the neck pickup - pick or no pick. Neck pickup has that hollow, vocal thing going on with notes above the 11th fret. Bridge pickup has a little bit more growl and bite than most stingy and bright Tele bridges I associate Tele's with. Like G.E. Smith says on his video, you can get nice fat tones. YouTube - The G.E. Smith Telecaster Too many guitars, not enough time. Also will be selling another Tele soon. Asking $1075 shipped ($1100 shipped with PayPal). |

Nice, never heard of this one. Did Fenders originally come with really fat necks back in the 50s?
