Gibson LP Blackwater - lightweight chambered LP with piezo
This is actually Chad Kroeger's signature guitar, but don't hold that against it... it's one of the few signature guitars that, imho, is significantly better than other LPs. It's strikingly lightweight (7.5 lbs) and amazingly resonant, which gives it a really nice and crisp piezo sound that actually sounds like a real acoustic.
Comes with a really nice Gibson hardshell case that's lined with white plush on the interior. It also comes with black plastics (pickup surrounds, switch plate, etc.) that you can swap for the cream ones that I currently have on it. $1900 obo... located in downtown New Orleans, but I'll be in Chicagoland starting later this month. I also have some friends driving from here to St. Louis, so if you happen to be on that route, they could deliver it too. Re: Gibson LP Blackwater - lightweight chambered LP with piezo
Had lots of trade offers, but it looks like I might drop the price for a cash offer...

bump... thinking about taking one of the trade offers, but I'd rather drop the price a bit and take cash.

I might consider some more trade offers too, but my preference is cash.

Re: Gibson LP Blackwater - lightweight chambered LP with piezo
It's round and thick... not exactly like a '58-style or a '59 style, but in the same general ballpark. I'd say it's about halfway between the two. Definitely not like a thin 60s neck, and I haven't actually tried a '57 style, so I can't comment on that.
Well, that's not an easy one to resist. Sending PM now. |

07' LP standard faded dead mint. Literally looks unplayed

Re: Gibson LP Blackwater - lightweight chambered LP with piezo
One of these just sold on eBay for $2100. This is my last bump before sending it off to eBay...

Re: Gibson LP Blackwater - lightweight chambered LP with piezo
Man I want to like this guitar so bad. I've been looking for a Piezo equipped LP with a nice Trans Black finish forever, but I can't get over those ugly star markers.

Re: Gibson LP Blackwater - lightweight chambered LP with piezo
This is a great instrument. I had one and only sold it because it's so lightweight and I like heavier Les Pauls. GLWS!

Re: Gibson LP Blackwater - lightweight chambered LP with piezo
Yeah, I'm not actually a fan of the stars either, but it's a good enough guitar so that I completely forgot about that.

Re: Gibson LP Blackwater - lightweight chambered LP with piezo
I'll keep that in mind, but I'm trying to hold out for a cash or gear+cash deal for now.
Also, I'm not sure if I've mentioned this yet in this thread, but I'm in the Chicago area full-time now... |

Re: Gibson LP Blackwater - lightweight chambered LP with piezo
I have a tempting trade offer, but I thought I'd quickly bump up this thread again...
