FS: 1981 Guild S-250 solidbody with XR-7 humbuckers

An early version of Guild's first attempt at a contoured Strat-style body. The S-250 was short-lived, with a two-year production run at the Westerly factory (1981 to 1983).

Mahogany body, 24.75" set neck, unbound 24-fret ebony board, Guild-branded tuners, Adjusto-matic bridge and phase switch. The DiMarzio-designed Guild XR-7 humbuckers are fairly hot and provide a lot of crunch.

The frets are in great shape, and the finish has the minor scratches and dings that you would expect to find on a 30+ year-old guitar. Also, it's difficult to see in the photos, but there is a old repaired crack in the upper horn.

All in all, a very high-quality build and a bit of a rarity, as these were not made in great numbers.

Comes with a very nice lightweight hard case (nylon over polystyrene foam boards).

$700 shipped/PayPaled

Where is the love, people? Gibson scale length, powerful 'buckers, 24 frets -- all in a model that doesn't come up for sale that often!

I can give some love, unfortunately, I can't give any money...
I owned an S-275 for quite some time (maple top version of this) and it was killer.
Bet the solid-mahogany suits the pickups even better.

Truly underrated.
