Feeler: Gibson Les Paul Classic Antique Week #14
I loved this guitar, but I just don't have a use for it. My PRS out shines it for everything I do. I bought it for $1800 new, but I've seen two guys on ebay trying to sell it for $2700 because there are only 400 in the world, but I'd be happy getting what I paid. Very tiny bit of buckle rash, just barely on the finish. A few pick marks on the surface that aren't noticable from more than a few inches away in the right lighting.
I've upgraded the pickups to a fralin p-90 in the neck and a seymour duncan minibucker in the bridge. New graphtech nut. I've replaced all the old wiring and switch and input jack and upgraded the volume and tone pots. Also put a set of straplocks. I named her Cupcake because she smells like chocolate cupcakes. She's been that way since I first played her upon opening the case. I'm not a fatty and didn't smear chocolate cupcakes over her body for tone enhancement. I don't know if I should do this as this guitar was a gift from 3 years ago (also quite a bit of sentimental value attached with good memories), but I really could use the cash to upgrade my amp situation and my recording rig. Any offers or opinions whether or not I should keep her? I'll put up some pictures soon Last edited by jptoastboy; 04-17-2011 at 12:03 PM. |
