Looking for my long lost 1988 Gibson Les Paul Custom

I've posted this on 2 other boards and thought I'd try here, too.
Looking for my 1988 Gibson Les Paul Custom (complete with repaired headstock, and replaced bridge pickup). I've still got the warranty card and I know the serial #. I traded it in at Rutherford Music Exchange in the mid 1990's. And if I remember correctly, it was a 2nd, that had something like" Not For Resale" on the back of the headstock. Oh, and if you have her, please sell her back to me!!! I will give you a crapload more $ than it's worth!!!

Thanks! And yeah, I pretty much still heart the 80's.
I've got some cool other pix playing her b.i.t.d, but no working scanner.

Thanks! These days I'm constantly going between short and long hair. It's shorter now, but I'm going to grow it out again. Here's a pic from 1 1/2 years ago when it was longer (rockin some vintage threads too):

Thanks! I know the odds are very slim in getting her back, but over the years I've constantly been thinking about her, so I'm gonna give getting her back my best effort.

I bet all the zippers did a number on the backside, lol. Hope you find your baby. I let one get away and I'll probably never see it again, so I'm finding solace in numbers these days...

Just wanted to thank everyone for the well-wishes!!!

I actually never lived in Jersey. (I did grow up on Long Island though, and have lived in Massachusetts for 26 years now). I took a special trip down to Rutherford Music because I knew from my old roommate that Rutherford's old owner used to deal heavily in Archtop Guitars, and I had gotten into Jazz Gtr and was looking to pick up an archtop.

A bunch of my facebook friends from back in High School tell me the same thing. With my hair long I guess I do look pretty young, but I'm going to be 38 years old in a few months. I eat pretty healthy, and ride my road bicycle everywhere (year round) which probably helps.

Thanks again everyone for all the well-wishes in getting my old weapon back!

Thanks SOOO much for the heads-up on that! I did call, and it turns out that it is not my old axe. The guys said theirs is a '73 with a HS repair that they did at the shop. But, thank you VERY much for the lead, because if I do find it, I'm sure it will be because of a lead like that!

Re: Looking for my long lost 1988 Gibson Les Paul Custom

Sorry, but I'll keep my eye out for you. I live a few blocks from Rutherford Music exchange and haven't seen a Gibson in their for years.
That 73 at Sweetest Sounds is a really nice guitar and the repair is undetectable a really pro job. No I don't work for them. lol

26 years in MA. - Long enough to induct you into the official MASS> Holes Club. You'll receive a t-shirt in about a week! Seriously hope you find your guitar dude. That would be a great story. It's like Pee Wee's Big Adventure ... but in a good way.

I'd guess, judging from the pics, that you traded it for a 1985 Jackson with Floyd Rose and some sort of neon skull graphic?

Re: Looking for my long lost 1988 Gibson Les Paul Custom

Thanks everyone for the good thoughts in getting this gtr back. I'm not really too hopeful, but I just feel compelled to try anyway.
Did I mention that: if you sell me back this gtr in a "still decent condition", you will be handsomely rewarded.

I actually traded it towards an 18" jazz archtop, while I was studying jazz Gtr in college circa 1995.
But speaking of Jacksons, I bought one of those too in 1990, and switched back and forth between the Les Paul Custom and the jackson.

Cool Post! - I hope that you get reunited with your geeeeetar,....Me? - I sold of quite a FEW before thinking that I would end up going into the Vietnam War - but never went. So now I keep thinking what happened to my White Gold Plated Custom and My Cardinal Red Firebird III. I still have them receipts and thus serial numbers. I just wonder if I do a post like yours - that I could find em ????? Good luck, I hope you get reunited ( And it'll FEEL SOOOOO GOOD!)

Hope you get reunited with your guitar man, sure is a looker.

I stop by Rutherford Music Exchange every now and then, but can never really find something I like and am able to afford. Ah well.
