Re: What's on YOUR workbench right now?
....crazy Lefties. 624T getting closer to completion. It'll be Daphne blue with black hardware, two humbuckers, rosewood board, SS frets. Noticed earlier that the template slipped when drilling the tuner holes. D'oh! Dowel city, population: me.
![]() Fun with scarf joints! ![]() I put a piece of ebony between the maple. Should look neat when I wind up shaping the neck. Sully

Re: What's on YOUR workbench right now?
I have a bunch of stuff on the bench right now, but the most current are a pair of Double II's:

Re: What's on YOUR workbench right now?
A 1955 Gretsch Duo-Jet.
Looks pretty good right? ![]() WRONG! Look what somebody did to try to get the action lower. The removed the fretboard and installed a long wedge shape piece of mahogany under it and then glued the board back on (not straight either) Here's another angle ![]() But wait, there's more! ![]() Some creative neck/body joinery ![]() When in doubt, pin it from every angle ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I would love to meet the person that did this so I could slap them
