I Got Wood!
Yesterday I bought wood from a place near me here in Nashville. I spent about $135 and I think I have enough to do 3 more builds!
![]() Some Honduran Mahogany for the necks and bodies and some maple for the tops. My first build will be done this week and here is a pic of it hanging in my garage while I wait for the lacquer to dry. ![]() I have a build thread for that one going on here. I have been thinking about what I'm going to build next and I've decided to do another one like the one I just did but better. I'm calling that style the Tallen. I'm also going to make a telecaster style guitar called a Tallencaster with the same type of shape as my first one. I also have an idea for that build that I think will make it unique that I'll post later after I make sure it works. My 4th guitar will be a ES-335/175 style guitar with the same type of shape as my first one too. I'm going for the hollow body design for that one. I'm thinking about calling it the TA-444 but that could change. These builds will probably take a while because it will take a while to save up for the hardware and pickups. I'm actually thinking about attempting to wind my own. I have some pickups I can use for the 335 inspired guitar but not the tele inspired one and I just found out that those pickups are pretty expensive. If anyone knows where to get good deals on some let me know!
