Question which Stain should I buy to darken...

...my Std faded's fingerboard? is there a articular type of stain I should use or it doesn't matter? also, qill I have to cover the inlays or they won't darken?

Usually an good scraping of the fingerboard with a razor blade, followed by some steel wool, followed by some lemon oil will darken it up all by itself. no need to mask off the inlays either.
