And, thanks! It is the best Tele I've ever played - and is right there with my vintage stuff in terms of how fun it is to play! |

Re: Rist~O~Tele Has Landed!! (Pix Inside)
I played that beauty cranked through Will's proto 100W and it was somewhat of a spiritual experience. Amazing guitar in many ways.
Congrats Dice! Major score!

Re: Rist~O~Tele Has Landed!! (Pix Inside)
I'd love to try out that WB 100w amp! This guitar kills for sure. It is the most comfortable Tele style guitar I've ever had my hands on. Combine that with some WB tone, and it can't be beat.

"1 piece Ash - great grain, fairly tight, light weight, on the thin side for a Tele and has Strat contours. Very comfortable."
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Is this your first custom guitar? How does it compare to production "custom guitars" (I have a feeling of the answer already) ![]() Congrats brother. I looks like its about to jump off the screen and start twangin away by itself!

Re: A Roman Rist Masterpiece
It's an ugly Les Paul wanna be, made by some old hazbeen snorkledick luthier and fitted with pu's by the most controversial pickup maker on MLP.
![]() You smug prick, I just hope you are happy with yourself. ![]() Congrats Dice, I truly am happy for you my friend and extreeeeeeeeemely envious at the same time. That is one special guitar.

Re: Rist~O~Tele Has Landed!! (Pix Inside)
This guitar reminds me so much of my old Warmoth Tele (ash body, all-rw neck). Damn it, dice, you're making me change my winter project.

Re: Rist~O~Tele Has Landed!! (Pix Inside)
Congrats Dice!
I almost don't recognize it out of a tree! ![]() I was looking forward to seeing it and it looks outstanding! Well worth the wait I'm sure. Really love the natural bare bones look you went with. There's something special about being able to see and feel the wood w/o a heavy coat of laquer when you're playing. If it plays half as well as it looks (and I bet it plays better than it looks!) then it must be a real winner! I'm sure it'll be a favorite long after the honeymoon phase has worn off! |

Re: Rist~O~Tele Has Landed!! (Pix Inside)
![]() Compared to the old Fenders, it is a different beast. It really is unlike any of my other guitars, being so "raw" feeling. The neck profile is very close to my old Fenders (Roman modeled the profile after a '62 Strat he had). It sounds very different. It is a little ballsier sounding than my Fenders (which are a little smoother) - but of course, it is a Tele, and that is the "idea." It has the same sharp tonal characteristics when played acoustic as it does through the amp. John - can't wait to see your project! And, no, not gonna burn it. This one would get burned first: ![]() Nah, I'd never burn Baby Shit.
