John - can't wait to see your project!

And, no, not gonna burn it.

This one would get burned first:

Nah, I'd never burn Baby Shit.
I'm still gassin for baby shit! That's one sexy squier!

Very nice Dice, congrats!

And I see it comes pre-aged with the nicotine method!

Very punchy in both humbucker and single coil when you use heavy attack.
Nice! That's what you want in a Tele! I was thinking of getting a Duncan lil 59' on the bridge. The stock G&L bridge pickup didn't really give much character. Great pickup no doubt, but I need something a bit less sterile. Glad you love your pickups!

I do like a little bit of "sterility" in a bridge pickup so that it cuts well with the gain cranked. Maybe "pureness" is a better word.

Is this your first custom guitar? How does it compare to production "custom guitars" (I have a feeling of the answer already)

Congrats brother. I looks like its about to jump off the screen and start twangin away by itself!
It is my first luthier built guitar - and it is just amazing. Lets be honest - to some extent, a guitar is a guitar is a guitar when you get in to high end stuff - but that extra bit of hand fitting and hand profiling on the neck and body really make a huge difference. Having all of the features I was looking for is huge. Roman gave it the comfort (and all around superior craftsmanship), and Will gave it the tone. Roman did a great job wiring it - the 5 distinct tones out of this guitar are:
1. PAF output humbucker - 50's wire
2. " split to a single coil
3. PAF/Hot Tele bridge in the middle
4. " split to 2 single coils out of phase
5. Hot Tele bridge
WB = Tone, we all knew that - but this is ridiculous!

It is very much UNlike any of my other guitars - and in a league of its own. Nothing about it even hints at mass production. The small details are just great. You don't "stick" to the finish anywhere, since it is raw. The Strat contours are just brilliant on a Tele - who would have thought! And, the upper fret access is great with that contoured heel.

C2, Mike and Jonesy - Thanks guys!

Pink - there are going to be some unstoppable guitars coming out of that shop in the near future! They may both be the badboys in the boutique world, but they're also putting out some bad ass guitars! Hopefully your WB's are there soon.

BB - did you claim one of the orphan Teles in Roman's shop? There are a lot of nice ones coming together!

Baller - even better!

Frank - thank you - coming from you, any compliment is magnified ten fold.

Blues - I DO need a Dr. Z still. Not fitting the current budget... Sooner than later though!

Dice, That thing looks amazing.
I need to get ahold of Roman as I'm waiting for a body from him.
I definately need some WB's in that tele I got coming.

Re: Rist~O~Tele Has Landed!! (Pix Inside)

This is why we love guitars.............moments like this, when people from all over the world (literally) are excited for a fella in Montana who's just picked up his new baby. Do cars do that for you, does anything do that for you?

The last 24 hours my arsehole has been going like a bunny's nose for Dicey!

I gotta go and lie down now...............

Well done my son!!

Congrats, Dice!

I think I notice in one picture that it isn't exactly a slim neck (not the Fender standard thin). Looks comfy! I can imagine how she feels from the pics, and I'm jealous!

Treat her mean, eh?

Oh, I'm going to beat the shit out of it!!

The neck isn't super thin, and not fat either - it is very close to my 60's Fenders with a touch less in the shoulders. Less D shaped.
