Gibson Les Paul Custom Blueprint or 1:1 plan

Anyone can suggest me where to buy the plan or provide me one, I am desperate looking for one to Own Build.

Stewmac used to do a plan, maybe someone nearby (where are you?) has a copy you can check over?

I have a copy, but I'm UK based.

The Bartlett plans are supposed to be great - I have a plan on order which should arrive soon. Look for 'Eastern Maple Carved Tops':

Cheap and great, or so I am told.

Wait a minute - do you mean an actual 'Gibson Custom'? Ebony fingerboard, different binding, different inlays, different body shape and a bunch of other stuff? If so, which year and type? I don't know who does those specifically...

I don't think there is one ATM. I have been looking for one also for the last month, but all I could find was info about the old stew mac plan, which you cannot get anymore.
Which custom are you planning on doing? For the 3 pickup version, you could start with the bartlett plan, and add the third pickup centered between the existing two. There was a thread a little while ago about the binding thickness and layers. As for the earlier ones, all I can tell you is study pictures, and modify the bartlett plan to suit your needs. I'm working on making a CAD plan of a custom since there doesn't seem to be one, but I have no idea when (or if!) it will be done.

From what I can surmise, the headstock was the normal '50's size before binding, but an extra border was added around the headstock to hold the binding (thus making the headstock bigger). Good luck! I know how frustrating this can be!

I don't think he meant a "custom blueprint", I think he meant a blueprint for a Les Paul Custom.

Well, I stand corrected! I just found this PLANS to build les paul type guitar - eBay (item 320601914285 end time Jan-08-11 10:24:20 PST) which appears to be for a LP Custom. Talk about luck!

That is not the $tewMac Custom plan. I have a very old copy, but who knows maybe it's better...

The stewmac plan from years gone by was inaccurate anyway.
I still have a copy of that one from the 90's. Some of it is usable but the body dimensions are wrong as are some of the placements.
Look for a thread with the binding configs and dimensions, those are correct. I posted those twice in the last year or two.
