New from the Boston area

Hi everyone. Some friends told me about this forum, and thought I'd register. The SG in the avatar is actually the one that SG Lou resurrected from an almost premature death. It is now alive and happy. I play in a band called the Vogon Poets. We play in the Boston area. I have a bunch of nice Gibsons. Mostly SG's, but there are also a couple of nice Les Pauls, V's, and a Firebird.

Here's a shot of one of my Lesters.

Re: New from the Boston area

Hi, and thanks for the greetings. The Les Paul is an '85 Standard in tobacco sunburst (or whatever they called it then). The pickups are a low output set of Manlius Landmark PAF's. They sound real sweet with vintage RS kit that's in there. It's probably the fourth set of pups I've put in this guitar, and they will probably stay because I'm quite happy with the way it sounds these days. It plays real nice too. I've been flirting with the idea of putting a Bigsby on it, but may wait until I can afford a Gold Top. I love the look of a Gold Les Paul with a Bigsby on it.

Frank, you're from the Boston area??? I would love to check out those Les Tall guitars live in person.

Re: New from the Boston area

I guess between SG John, jco.1 and me, we have Boston surrounded, since I'm west (but spend my summers down in Newport).
