Hello from a 6 year old Lefty

Hi I'm Harry (six now) and I love my Left handed Epiphone LP. I've had this for just over a year. I got this to get me playing Left handed again after being badly advised that I should swap over and play Right Handed!!

I've never had any proper lessons, I got told I was too young at the time! Also their just too damn expensive! My mum and dad don't play so have learn't most of what I Know from free lessons on the Internet (with help from me dad).

I hope one day to have a Gibson LP but that may be quite some years away yet.

I have played live a few times with my LP and You can see some of these on YouTube at... YouTube - RockHadgio's Channel

Here are a couple of my favorites...

Cheers, Harry

EDIT: With my Dad doing the typing!!!!

Re: Hello from a 6 year old Lefty

If I'm out of line, then I apologise in advance.

But, there is no way a 6 year old typed that. I have never encountered a 6 year old who signs off with the phrase "Cheers".

However, the kid in those clips is awesome, what a guy. I am sceptical about whether the OP is indeed that kid.

I hope I'm wrong, I'm getting synical in my old age. And why does that typing style remind me of my good friend Cookie...

Anyway, whoever you eventually turn out to be, welcome

EDIT : This has all been cleared up. I'm an idiot. Ignore this post.

For sure. Don't get me wrong, I'm hoping our new friend is genuine.

I guess I'm just a little too wary after so many recent shenanigans round here.

Welcome little dude, how many boats do you own?

(Seriously, I'm only kidding )

Hi, Thanks for your comments, I (his dad) do the typing, while Harry stands next to me. It's basically what he wants to say. I thought it would be less confusing this way.

This was our first post so apologies for the confusion!

Harry (with loads of help from his dad) or should I say his dad (with some help from Harry)

I should have just assumed that, my apologies for getting the wrong end of the stick.

Your son has a huge talent, you must be very proud

Keep rocking little guy!

Re: Hello from a 6 year old Lefty

agreed, he sure is special. there are lots of kids round here that have guitars but only play when they have lessons - in other words they practise an hour a week. keep playing Harry, we all want to see you standing in the spotlight at some point.

Re: Hello from a 6 year old Lefty

This is one of the coolest vids I've ever seen! So happy to see that little boy play, that's refreshing!

Help and encouragement from the parents is so important, great they see this as a family adventure! That's what it's all about!

I can relate, I was told the very same thing by some "teacher", I was a lefty too but unlike you I did have to learn to play all over again! Been at it since I was about 9 or so, you beat me by 3 whole years!!! Good for you! Never quit!
