Newbie in WNC.

Hello All! Been lurking the forum for a bit, lots of beautiful pictures and great information.

I'll admit, I've been a "Strat" guy for the few years I've been playing (6 or so years) but in the past year have really started digging LPs. I've been through a few cheap Strat clones, a decent MIM, but have settled on an E-Series Japanese made Squier in Lake Placid Blue.

Around this time last year I started my search for a decent LP styled guitar, which led me to Agile. I'm a pretty budget minded player, it's just a hobby for me so bills/family take the front seat. Eventually tax time rolled around and I was able to order up a Cherry Sun Burst Wide AL3000.

To me it's a lovely guitar, not really how sure they're viewed around here. It's very well built, the finish/feel is very good and the wide neck is very comfy in my hands. One of these days I might get around to doing some modifications to it but for now it's my #1, even over my Strat .

Re: Newbie in WNC.

Thanks for the warm Welcome Everyone.

WNC, yup that's Western North Carolina alright. Any further to the West and I'd be in Tennessee. Like your avatar SH, I've got a copy of the original album tucked away, it's still got the insert to send away for a t-shirt and necklace. My Dad filled it out shortly before the crash and never sent it in.

Glad to hear Agiles are welcomed, I knew at least a few people here like them, I recognized a few names from the AGF forum. Just so I know, what's the policy on mentioning other forums? Don't want to get in trouble, I'll edit if need be.

Re: Newbie in WNC.

Seems like there is a lot of NCers on every forum, just don't tell them I'm a Native West Virginian (Charleston, btw, GO HERD!. Moved down here (initially) in 2003 to be with my then fiancée, and because the job market was a bit better. We've bounced back and forth between here and WV once or twice but have settled here for the time being.

Thanks for all the Welcomes Guys and Gals, here's another gear pic from earlier this year ..

The Gunmetal Blue Strat and the Resonator were traded off for a Marshall G15MS (Lead 15 Micro Stack). The Ampeg SG and the Fender Acoustic were handed down to my little brother who recently started playing. The only one that made the cut was the MIJ Squier.

Please Ignore the mess, between the puppy we had at the time and a Baby, things never stayed clean long, lol.

Re: Newbie in WNC.

Nope, sorry it's not going anywhere. It was my first father's day present and happens to be damn near the same color blue as my little girl's eyes. It also happens to be one of the finer playing Strats I've laid hands on. I traded off a MIM that just wasn't up to par to it. The only way I'd give it up is to hand it down to her, and then it would just be replaced by a MIA Strat.

(Yes I'm an in the closet Strat Guy).

You'll get used to me after a while. I'm an English eccentric lunatic!
Enjoy the forum - it's the best. But beware! You'll get sucked in gradually, and end up spending far more time than you should on here!

Haha, @ spending more time here than I should. I've already been neglecting my guitars to read here.
