Hi from BC, Canada
Been lurking a lot for the last few weeks, soaking up a ton of information and digging those build threads (a lot) and figured I might as well introduce myself.
I'm a mid-20s college student in BC, Canada just getting back into playing guitar again after a 3 year hiatus. I've been playing since my early teens and owned a few guitars over the years. Never a Les Paul sadly, although I've always loved everything about them when I got to play others (except for a friend's father's LP Pro Deluxe with P-90s. That thing was so bottom heavy and it having no strap locks you were likely to catch a headstock to the face if you weren't paying attention). After surfing around for a few weeks on these forums I had caught a serious case of G.A.S. for a LP. I went to a guitar shop near my school to see what they had that I might have been about to trade for (got to love being a broke student ) and came across a "Fullerton" LP Standard clone. The sales guy claimed it was George Fullerton's (from G&L) line of guitars but I never could find much info about that brand of guitars or the the LP Standard model made by them (apart from them being Chinese made and going for at least 1/2 the price they we're asking for it). I ended up passing on the less then optimal deal he was trying to feed me and will just woodshed with what I currently have (Charvel Super-Strat with less then stellar working locking tremolo system that I never use anyways ) until a better deal comes along.

Re: Hi from BC, Canada
Thanks for the welcome guys.
I've played a few Studios before and they are pretty sweet but I really love the looks of black LP Customs, something about the extra binding...Duesentrieb posted this pic in "Other LP" forum and I was drooling like crazy ![]() The Edward E-LP-92CD seem like a really nice fiddle, I think that's probably what I should be looking at. |
