Newby from NW SC...

Hey guys. This looks like a great place to start hanging so I thot I'd register and introduce myself.
This is my '59 Junior DC copy I built in my low tech garage shop...

I'm a regular forum member over at...
The Squier 51 Modders Forum
I use the same name there where I've posted nearly 350 times. These are a great bunch of guys there and the Squier '51 is a usually over-looked gem of a guitar.
I recently am gassing to join the ranks as a LP owner/appreciator. I scratch-built a '59 Junior DC in my garage shop and I'm thinking about taking on a Paul build or project. I also scratch-built an 18W 1974x without the tremolo and used that tube as a master volume drive. Pics of my build etc. are at...
rtbkatcha's Photostream
I hope to be able to be a long-time contributor here. Thanks and best wishes-Dan(AKA-lowatter)

Re: Newby from NW SC...

Thanks alot guys. I'm just North of Greenwood which is South of Greenville.
When I built my Junior and my 18W, I thot that my herd was complete but I can't help myself. I can't stop thinking about playing my cousin's '79 gold top 30 years ago. It was the first and only time that I ever played a real LP. It was like seeing an old friend I never met before. I guess that I pine for that nirvana again. I'm here at this forum for that quenching. I hope to learn and contribute here. Thanks again.
