Re: military
Please continue sorry for the interruption… AS a child when Vietnam war was in action I feared the draft. There use to be a wonders bread commercial that showed a girl eating wonder bread & growing up to a adult. I never would eat that product due to fear of being drafted into that war. My father served in the Korean war & looking thru his memorabilia I found a lighter with Flick-o-flash engraved thus my name

I have done one year in reserve , 2 years active i am a Pfc ( suppose to be a cpl a long time ago but got hurt in ranger school so i had em pass the torch to someone who could carry on and be a good nco ( i knew i was done at this point ) so im the worlds longest pfc. 1 tour of afghan-land machine gunner, first unit was a Lrrs unit ( rsta ) been to every shooting school besides sniper (b4)

Re: military
I dont know i knew alot of PFC's that didnt get promoted
Depends on if you have a good NCO or not, one that wants to promote you or leave you where you are. I ran into them in both the navy and the army. Alot of people get hurt in Ranger training, thats a hell of a school to make it through in one peice that is pretty common. I got hurt in Navy Aircrew School blew out both of my knees, was in medical hold there for 4 months till i got better.
