Back after the years.

First I'd like to apologise for everyone I left in question of where I went and what had happened to me.

I'm still alive and I'm still playing.

Over the last few years I've lost my father, friends and have gone through allot of personal changes. A life long struggle of being in the closet ended when I finally accepted myself for who I am, I'm gay. I've been with my partner for just about a year and a half. when I initially came out in 2010 my closest friends slowly began to exclude and push my out of our social circle. I spent a decent part of a year alone. Since then I've picked myself up, finished a chunk of my studies and formed a group of friends who are either gay themselves or simply don't care if I am. It's been a struggle after two car accidents and a hospital stay after a BMX accident (I still ride), financial troubles and depression. I'm finally at a point where I feel like I'm back on my feet in most respects.

Again I apologise for simply disappearing for a few years, and to the friends I made on here I'd like to say it was nothing personal and it was not my intention to be so rude.

As a side note, if any of the people I knew on here holds a grudge from my absence I don't blame you. If anyone has a personal objection to homosexuals it's your right to feel however you want to, if you no longer wish to talk to me, it's your choice.

Much appreciated mate, this has been on my mind for a while, I just didn't know how I'd integrate myself back in, so I thought I'd just jump in and see what happens.

Welcome back brother. Don't give it a second thought about being welcome here. If anyone has a problem, it is theirs not yours.

Re: Back after the years.

Paul,

I have often wondered how you were doing. I remember when your father passed, I figured you had a lot of soul searching to do, and that resulted in your absence here.

Congratulations for finding out who you are, and for embracing it.

Welcome back =)

Much appreciated, it's been an odd few years, allot of soul searching, you're not wrong about that.

Fender - My Les Paul Forums
awesome man, the setup job on my 12 string was brilliant, then my father got ahold of it...never been the same, neck was a bit buggard and there's some nice dints in it :/

got it as close to 100% as I'll ever really get it though, had to start from scratch, pulled it apart, reassembled and had to reset the tension on the truss, such a pain in the ass, freaking adjustment screw at the base of the neck.
