Cheers from Malaysia
Hello to all members,
I'm from Malaysia and being in love with Les Paul guitars ever since I started to learn about electric guitars. I've played others like fender & ibanez but for me...nothing compares to the feel of a Les Paul guitar (no offence btw...). Got a Les Paul copy brand Santa Cruz for $180 when I was in primary school using money collected from my weekly allowances hahaha. Well I'm just saying that it was very hard for us here in East Malaysia to find the real Gibson Les Paul (not copy or replica), not to mention the price. I'm just scared to end up buying a counterfeit Les Paul after all the hard money savings I've done. So anyway, I'll be staying a while with all the seniors here and learn more about Les Paul guitars (setup and etc). I'm having my Les Paul Standard ebony finish sometime this week...I'm a bit scared it might not be the real deal though. I heard all the China copies are getting better nowadays, hard to spot whether it is fake or authentic. Cheers! |

Re: Cheers from Malaysia
Thanks Straycat
![]() I will upload some pic of it later on. BTW, I saw these nice looking Les Paul copy says Steinberg (Design in USA) on its head stock. The neck feels great too, I can't judge the sound really though because they provide a 10watt amp for testing so I can't really tell the feel of the sound. Any help? |

Re: Cheers from Malaysia
Thanks seniors, wow I really learned so much about my beloved guitar here. I visit the luthier's forum quite often just to know how exactly they were made.
Here's the pic of my les paul, the background supposed to be the mount Kinabalu the trademark of my hometown Sabah but it was covered with mists. I am just glad to own a les paul and to be accepted here with all the legends ![]() http://a6.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...96634154_n.jpg |
