That top is awesome. So you went with a darker burst finish? The only thing I would've changed if I could would be the fretboard... get a nice dark brazilian. Other than that, the stock paint and flame seem to be awesome.

I reshaped the neck myself so officially it is a basic Package C plus a nylon nut.

Most production Historics don't come stock with fifty year old vintage parts. Mikes included.

Kim and I discussed the colouring and the wide banding in GREAT detail prior to it being painted and the results are exactly what I had hoped for.

which is a 1960 looking finish and also several 1960 appointments.I also reshaped the neck prior to shipping it south.

I am told by a few people who have seen it in person,that the colour is very lush...

As far as doing any fading on this one it is a "wait and see" as I personally would prefer not to any fading at all and let mother nature take it's course.

It's been lightly aged so far and is awaiting some mild checking...
