So it's been re-fin'd by RS can't say I can give them any props for their services. Depending on what the conversion rate is today that doesn't seem extraordinarily pricey...

There were no Brazilian VOS. Brazilians were in 2003, and VOS started in 2006. Why do people use the term VOS to mean Historic reissue? There are no 1993-2005 VOS Les Pauls. And not all 2006-present Historic Reissues are VOS either.

Re: 58 vos confirmed Brazilian price?

What year is it? Ought to be a 2003 by rights, so serial number 8 3***

It's a shame it has been aged, as certified brazilian guitars are going to be worth more if they are left stock (it's the way of collectible stuff). I'm assuming it's certified by Gibson, as anyone else's certification doesn't mean a lot
£2700 sounds like an OK price, maybe a bit high, but they are a rare beast, and there won't be any more of them made.

I don't know what exchange to US$ is these days, but here's one for sale over at LPF, $4100.

I agree, IMO the one you're looking at has lost value due to the refin.

Re: 58 vos confirmed Brazilian price?

Exchange rate is working its way back to 1.7 at the moment, so £2700 is about $4500, BUT we get stung for duty and VAT, as well as shipping, so a $4100 guitar would be more like $5200 by the time it's landed in the UK.
