Thanks... That one WAS gloss as there was no VOS option in '05, but it is aging quite nicely on its own.

I believe they had Custom Authentics in '05, but I'm not sure about R9s. Custom Authentic was like VOS only a bit more extensive.

Handmade by master luthier Hidesato Shiino (ESP, Greco, etc.) about 15 years ago. He is now the owner of Vestax, who still owns the Mushroom brand. Honduran mahogany body and neck ('60), Brazilian fretboard, Canadian maple top, holly veneer, long tenon, fret binding, nitro. Perfect non-chambered weight at 8.7 pounds.
