My new 58 VOS
I just got a new 58 VOS paul. It plays & sounds amazing. I love the FAT neck & the overall tone. Here are 2 pics with & without the pick guard. I like it without the pick guard best, what do you guys think?

Re: My new 58 VOS
WOW! It's not but it almost looks bookmatched.
Looks great both ways but if it were mine, I'd leave the pg on. What year it is?

Re: My new 58 VOS
Nice guitar..congrats. I used to have one like it and looking at your pics I wish I hadn´t sold it......
...I vote "pickguard on" btw. A proper Lester just gotta have a pickguard! |

Re: My new 58 VOS
Man that is gorgeous. I found a brand new one for 2800 and thinking very seriously but I really don't want a bigger neck than my old R9. I'd like to find a plain top tobacco R0.

Re: My new 58 VOS
I wasn't going to say anything, but as the support for mr. pickguard was so overwhelming, I'd just like to say:
Leave that cheap piece of plastic off! |

Congratulations. The R8 is an guitar that brings a huge smile to my face when I pick it up. That is what I like about them.

Re: My new 58 VOS
Thanks guys, I tend to like it best without the pickguard. I definitly like the feel better with out & this one plays smooth & sounds like a monster. I play it through a Fender Super Sonic & damn!!

Re: My new 58 VOS
I love those darkburst plaintops (why I bought my G0). I've never had my guard off, but that picture sure makes me think about it. She's a beauty!
