Anyone have 2009 R9 Iced Tea Pics?
I'm in the process of deciding on which Les Paul to buy and am considering a 2009 R9. From what I've learned/seen, the Iced Tea finish looks a bit different this year (more red in the burst, perhaps?) and was wondering if anyone here had pics that they wouldn't mind sharing of their 2009 Lesters in Iced Tea.
Thanks! -Matt |

Wow! Beautiful guitar, Floyd! Thanks for sharing pics of her!
It does look like this year's Iced Tea is a bit different... A bit darker on the outside of the burst and more reddish, less honey, perhaps? I had always associated Iced Tea with the color on the Gibson site here: Gibson - Gibson Guitar: Electric, Acoustic and Bass Guitars, Baldwin Pianos Maybe your Iced Tea is more accurate to how a vintage burst might age or maybe Gibson is just doing something a little different this year... Either way, beautiful Lester!!! Cheers, -Matt |

I think your observations about the red and brown are correct. It all depends on the light however. Either way it is a really nice colour. |

Re: Anyone have 2009 R9 Iced Tea Pics?
that def seems a bit more reddish. i prefer a lighter brown, like my 2008, but still like it way better than the cherry. nice axe!

It is a really nice guitar, definitely one of the nicest Les Pauls I have played from across the range, and I try to play them as they come into my local shop to compare. £3699 in the UK is a lot to pay for one of these but I think they are worth it
