Just In... '09 R8 Faded Tobacco...
Just arrived today.
2009 VOS R8 Faded Tobacco... 9.4 lbs. Smaller feeling neck than other R8's I'ved played... Very similar to my R9. This is one aggresive sounding guitar. Just like I like it. IMO Pound for Pound the R8 is the best value the Custom shop offers. I'm all outta GAS.... For the moment.  A few Pics.    My Les Paul Clan

Looks great, congrats! I have the same guitar, model, year and color and love it. You are right it is the best bang for the buck.
