Bloomfield Aged arrived but package not yet opened...

I ordered my first ever Les Paul 3 weeks ago. In the meantime I went with my family on summer holidays. The guitar arrived when I am still on Creta island. Imagine my heartbeats not being there to open the package! The package was shipped to my office address, was custom cleared by the company's I work for broker and handed over to my assistant a week ago. I even thought to take the plane and fly to Athens to hug her(the LP of course!). The only thing I have is the photo of the package...
Now, in less than 20 hours I shall be finally able to meet her. It is an Aged Bloomfield shipped from the USA and paid on the day the USD reached its lowest rate to Euro in 2009 (lucky me...).

For me aquiring a Les Paul was always an unfulfiled dream. The prices in Greece are very high and the support you get from the stores not to my style, ie you have to be a pro to respect you. I play guitar only for my own - up to now... :-)).
This year I'll be 40 and decided to finally go for it! And when I started reading your marvelous forum so as to get the necessary knowledge and info, it coincided with the hot threads about the Bloomfield LP coming out. Mike Bloomfield is in my blood and brain for the past 25 years as my absolute favorite guitar player with the perfect tone and combination of stellar singing technique and deep feeling that always left me speechless. So, I had to get this particular reissue. The odyssey to locate the guitar was completed and the one I finally purchased, judging only from the photos and some comments on her sound and general feeling, will be perfect for me. She does not have these spactacular flames I ve seen on some pictures posted here but I always have been a fan of more "conservative" flame tops.

I wanted to share these final countdown moments with you with all my thanks for the amazing discussions.

but why was his black....is it a replacement bridge post or colored changed from sweat etc just curious.
