Let me explain my doubt... the amber knobs i use to see are more red... and the ones in your guitar aren't red, but aren't gold.

The knobs are from Historic Makeovers .. Vintage Clone .. Nobody makes knobs that look closer to real 50's vintage stuff than them !! Has the greening underneath etc ...

No sybil came in one of those black custom shop cases ! It's probably a better case for protecting the guitar ! But I wanted the vintage correct Lifton style case !!

No wonder bobbo's awesome r8 looks like the surface of the moon..lol Look at his bedroom! Cables strewn all over the place just waiting to trip someone and make them drop there guitar. Unmade bed, mabey bobbo needs to sell one of those fancy cases and use the $ to hire a maid..lol

Yeah the bedroom was a bit of a wreck that day !! When I got the Lifton I Ebay'ed the black custom shop case ! I'll tell my wife to dress up like a maid .. Could be fun !! !!!!

I've seen lots of shots of your guitar now. It looks like the finish is slowly dulling and obviously your guitar(like all off us) is getting more blemishes with age. Looks like there's some fade going on too, especially the neck. Nice.

Here's a good pic of the fading on the back of the neck ... It's most noticable from the headstock joint to about the 7th fret ! My favorite chording area !
