Pearly Gates?

Hi everyone,

It has been a while...for that I'm sorry.

I was just reading another thread and saw mention of a PG on the horizon.

Any info you guys have would be appreciated.

....side note: I did an acoustic set at a private party last night......it was great to ride that horse again!

I emailed Gibson about them and they wouldn't say. Just that it's this year.
There are two more signatures coming out this year, PG and Page's No. 2. So, it's either Q3 or Q4.
If PG comes out in Q3, No. 2 will be released in Q4...and vice versa.
I heard it'll be a be a run of VOS, a smaller run of aged/unsigned, and 25 signed/aged.

So how the hell are you buddy? Hope things are getting better for you, must be back in your favor if you're hunting for Pearls.

Glad to see you back, you've been away too long. I will be meeting Mr. Gibbons in late July here in Dallas backstage at the Top and Aerosmith show and I plan to ask him about Pearly if the details haven't been released by then, it'll be interesting to see if Billy will discuss it at all. I also want to ask him about his stage setup, it's killing me to find out if he's mic'ing a small combo on the backline and pumping it through the frontline stacks. I plan on bringing a LP pickguard and a sharpie just in case too!

Do you still have Barney? What about your guitars, did you get rid of all of them? I bought me a VM 50w combo and I love it!

Mark, buddy! Great to see you back! And I'm glad to hear all is going well for you (note to self...keep my 10 year old daughter away from this perv).

I don't know all that much about the PG guitar, except it looks like the numbers will be very limited (and expensive)...not sure whether that's just the signed ones or not. I hear Gibbons is involved personally in hand selecting tops for these things, and he's turned down more than he's accepted. One cool thing that looks like will happen with this guitar is that it will get an inlay upgrade to the real vintage style Cellulose Nitrite.
